Sings4Speedway
Added points for Rye House with the addition of Hopwood however it seems a little strange to persist with R/R at 4 rather than 2? Has Bowdrey been shuffled out already? I see a busy night ahead for Banks but even if the Brummies suffer a selection of mishaps i cannot see anything other than them battering the Raiders and leaving the second leg a bit of a non event. Heathen1984
This will be an hammering of 30+ points with Hopwood at one. Only av morley capable of beating the better brum riders, brum dont av any weak riders aswell. Gona be a long night for those Rye riders. Â Ben Morley will be at #1, Ben Hopwood is a signing not a guest. Â It still won't be pretty though...
Brummie Kev
Hopefully this will be third time lucky for me, had to miss the Stoke Match and was going to go to Wolves Monday but it was rained off. Pretty much agree with the other posters on here, I can see this being a fairly big Brummies win, can only really see Ben Morley and Ben Hopwood offering any real resistance. Both as I recall went well here for Kent and Eastbourne respectively last season. 55-

R87
Think the weather might save Rye tonight. Absolutely hammering it down in Birmingham now.

Brummie Kev
Excellent all round effort from the Brummies tonight, but I was especially impressed with Danyon Hume. Two great meetings to start the season. Could he be one of the surprises of the NL this year. Totally different rider from last year. Â Rye House were poor, I was only impressed with Priest. Ben Morley who you would expect to be scoring double figures was non existent upto heat 13. Might be a long season for the raiders.
stevebrum
Good to see a promotion giving the speedway folk a match despite a huge downpour before the meeting. Something the EL promoters and riders could learn a trick from. Track was wet and predictably one line racing however the last 3 heats certainly saw the riders swapping positions and proper racing. The result wasn't really in doubt and the raiders look a poor travelling team. Hume is proving a bargain on that average.
LordoftheShale
We could of hit 60 points but for a couple of falls. Very poor showing from Rye House.

Ben91
Not sure what makes it a poor showing when our promotion have said that we're looking to use the NL to develop our lower order riders and due to the top heavy nature of the side we have a lot of those. Shadders
Let's not get carried away. Birmingham need a strong team, because that's all they have. The Raiders have an entirely different philosophy. Heavy defeats home and away will happen often
waco
Few sides will get much joy at Birmingham this season so plus 30 points is not to bad.. Ben Morley wont have many off nights like that and all riders have them now and then ,there are usually good reasons,, that we do not take in to account,,On the plus side Luke Priest has started the season in cracking form ,and is probably exceeding expectations..There could be further changes shortly , so judgements on the team should be defered for now..
