crescent girl
From the home team e-newsletter: With the Tweed-Tees Trophy already on the club's mantelpiece, this Saturday brings Newcastle's Diamonds to Shielfield Park, with another trophy up for grabs. This time it'll be for "the other TTT" -- the Tyne-Tweed Trophy -- and after last week's big win and big crowd, your Olympus Marquees Bandits are fully intending to repeat the process on all fronts. "We had a great turn-out of people last week on a pretty cold and dismal evening, so there has to be every prospect of even more folk coming along this week to find out more about the new 'Bandits' Buzz' they are hearing about around town" said Dennis McCleary. "Our boys rolled Redcar over, but Newcastle look pretty formidable this year and in Robert Lambert they have one of the brightest young British talents to emerge in years -- this will be a pretty stiff test. But with the level of support we've been experiencing at both home and away meetings so far, the Bandits will be encouraged by their fans, and we're looking at a really intense local derby!" The Brough Park 'Diamond Geezers' will arrive without Stevie Worrall, who will be riding at Leicester for Belle Vue (his Elite League team) and with Sheffield's Kyle Howarth coming in as a guest in place of our old friend Matej Kus, who has been recalled by his Czech federation for a continental event. Bandits: 1. Thomas, 2. Theo, 3. Kevin, 4. Anders, 5. Seb, 6. Matty, 7. Liam Diamonds: 1. Robert Lambert, 2. Stevie Worrall (r/r), 3. Tero Aarnio, 4. Ludvig Lindgren, 5. Kyle Howarth (guest), 6. Lewis Rose, 7. Danny Phillips. Edited April 5, 2016 by crescent girl
erniew
I and a couple of friends are driving up for this one. The weather forecast doesn't look too promising however, any updates on that score would be most appreciated. On the same subject, how well did the track covers perform? I am sure the forecast will change between now and Saturday. The covers last Saturday worked very well, in fact we may not have had a meeting without them. If the track covers are on again, it should be fine
To The Point
Brilliantly! track, in my opinion, was better on Sarurday after the covers than most of last season! If the track covers are on again, it should be fine Good job Scott stopped any track prep when the covers were removed, a good managerial decision.
Positive Thinker
One possible wrinkle to the covers going down this week is that BRFC are playing at home. Although bends could probably be covered, straights might not --- studs on football boots would rip the plastic to pieces!

We'll have to see what the weather forecast is like, hopefully we won't even need the covers

Although bends could probably be covered, straights might not --- studs on football boots would rip the plastic to pieces! Even if Berwick Rangers are at home I hope the track could still be covered, as the covers themselves don`t directly affect the football, yes the area around the tunnel would be need to be looked at with the players studs, maybe some kind of carpeting under the sheets could solve that. cheviot
as a diamond supporter it looks like we will only be able to track a full team on a sunday night which is so annoying as a full side against the bandits would be a very good Saturday night out

Robinh88
As it's only a challenge... Guess it's not that important... Sad state of affairs blokes missing matches all over the place Newcastle are one of the few sides who have a rider I would want to watch

crescent girl
A change in Newcastle's team. Tero Aarnio has withdrawn (that pesky knee again) and will be rider-replaced at No 3. Ryan Fisher will now guest at No 2.
