Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 6/4/16

You really are stressed arn't you,.. even then our crowds were not that bad in the great scheme of things, funny how you pick on our one bad year in 17 to go and watch us, must have been the Buccanneers your talking about... Yes mate, ive been a fan since 1970. And just to add to that, whatever you get we will get double.. Be careful what you wish for, your "new stadium" is not even thought of yet..I would rather ours than your falling to pieces shed.. Have a nice night.. ;)

You only go because you get in free to sell the Speedway Star!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Lawson riding, Edward was in team for wed, then lakeside changed it!!!

Hard not to include the guy who scored a paid max in his last away meeting really. Bit of a kick in the gonads for Kennett though! Signed for the season and has now basically wont get meetings while Lawson is doing well but can't even sign for another team! Mind you, Barker signed up for that at Coventry, fool!

THINK there is a feeling that Eddie's mind is with Rye House not Lakeside.

Despite our superb away performance at Leicester, I really can't see us infliciting any damage at Poole.

AJ, Nilsson, Lawson and Swiderski were all admittedly flying but, and with all due respect to Leicester, they were pretty poor throughout.

Reserve-wise, Rob Mear struggled to come last in his rides on Saturday night - so we are basically a 6 man team straight from the off.

Many of our points at Beaumont Park were earned overtaking - not from 'jet-propelled gating'. Passing riders of the quality of Poole, will be a whole different challenge. So unless we can sharpen up from the tapes, I think that this has got defeat etched all over it.

If we did manage to secure an away point, I'd personally be delighted.

As for the comments about Gerald Richter. He'll do what he always does - provide a decent, fair racing track to the best of his ability.

Where do you stand on Aussies doing the same? :P

(Can open, worms everywhere.)

As for Wednesday, it should be reasonably close.

It won't be close , nor will most visiting teams keep it close. For the majority of home matches Poole will have 8 points on the board before the meeting even starts by reason of their virtually guaranteed 5-1's in heats 2 and 12, now that Adam Ellis is gating well.

Watt and Hans at 3 and 4 should be a tremendous pairing if they are anything like usual home form.

I woukd say Team Revolution are still working on their Jawas to bring them up to speed. Both are very fast in a straight line seem a bit hit and miss from the gate and it's pretty obvious on watching them that they have the usual Jawa problem of dying a bit on the bends. Certainly that seems to be the case at Lakeside so far. I suspect they will be more dialled in as the season progresses but at this stage I think if Lakeside keep to within 20 points they will be doing as well as most teams at Wimby Road this year.

THINK there is a feeling that Eddie's mind is with Rye House not Lakeside.

Not quite sure what you mean by a "feeling" but Jon Cook said at the fans forum in February that Ed has 5 early season fixture clashes and Rich would tend to ride until those were out of the way then the situation woukd be re assessed on form. He also said there was a possibility that both would have a regular team spot, although that woukd seem to depend on whether Swidderski, and possibly even Lewis Bridger ride to form.

Ed and Dave Kennet were both in the pits last Friday night supporting the team.

Can i just point out to any Lakeside fans travelling to the meeting. The A 31 will be closed in BOTH directions at Ringwood to Cadnam for 15 nights for re surfacing work, yep, yet more frigging roadworks, from 10pm untill 6 am.
Any fans travelling need to get away sharpish, other wise it will mean a trip out to the A35 via Christchurch through Lyndhurst Totton and on to the M271 then M3. Be warned..
