You got no chance trying to explain to those who simply bury their heads and go along with a few lemmings.

As ive said if you dislike Tai then fine but the blind and dumb who follow the herd and trot out the ' he is an Aussie' line are just a tad clueless

Ive had this stance even before he was a world champion.

Got nothing against him, a true top rider and by far the best in the world atm.

Lets here the benefits, to him, of declaring himself a brit then.

You make reference to “sheep” yet continually use the comments of others to validate your posts….posts on a thread that you are fed up with…yet continue to post on. A thread where you have taken a step back and actually thought about what you were posting before falling for a post soaked in sarcasm….all the while openly questioning the intelligence of others.

How do you get to that chain of thought??

Think we all are a bit sick of the 'sheep' who come up with the same old same old same old he isnt British tosh. We have a 2x World Champion who grew up in a different country and people expect him to not care for that country.

There were 1 or 2 people who used to say he wasnt British last season, and mainly because they arent Tai fans.

He pulls out the British Final and suddenly all the 'sheep' or lemmings suddenly feel that is the stick to bash him with, its pathetic really.

A lot of riders say they LOSE money riding in the GP's so that alone proves you're completely wrong.

Every one of those riders you've quoted felt at some stage they could win the World Championship and all of them wanted to be there. As for Harris, he genuinely does feel he can win it, he said so a few days ago in an article on the GP website. I personally don't think he will get close, but if you think you can't from the outset then forget it!!

You are spot on. I know for a fact that in 1999 Mark Loram rode as a wildcard and did i think 5 of the 6 rounds and lost money and he actually won in Sweden that year.

The guys at the bottom lose money its well known they do.

It was worse in the days of 2 rides and go home but to say all 15 of next years riders make money out of the series is rubbish

Maybe my response to the post in question was tongue in cheek too? Wooooooooooooosh!

I am following nobody with my comments so I am not following any 'sheep'. The comments of others validate my posts because I have the opposite opinion, it's called debating.

Yes I'm fed up of reading 'Tai is an Aussie at heart', 'It's a disgrace he's not riding in the British Final', blah, blah, blah, so I feel that this thread needs some balance. Again that's called debating.

How do I get that chain of thought? Well based on the poster continually making reference to what he and others think, it comes across as some sort desperation to validate what he is saying, it's almost an attempt to actually create a new flock of sheep who just disagree with the other sheep, as well as that an attempt was made to abuse others who disagree and bring closure to the thread as though that would be some sort of victory, where as it just comes across a bit Gestapo

Grouping people together because they sort of say things that are the same and then creating a straw man is a bit odd...people think he may have used the British Speedway system to his advantage, there is flavours that suggest that might have been a thought at some stage.

I have explained myself above in post #326...feel free to read and digest what's written then kindly review the above complete and utter nonsense.

Ow yeah, sure…I was being sarcastic in my post as well… I am now as well can you tell? actually all the posts are sarcastic and everyone quoting them is in on them.

If you are so into the idea of debate though best not to say things like "is this still going on" and basically implying people who disagree with you are idiots as then it just comes across than you are a bit of a mass debater.

people think that he is aussie at heart and the way he treats uk speedway adds fuel to the fire

Does it actually matter if he is an "aussie at heart" so long as gives 100% every time he pulls the GB racesuit on ?

Just saying what a rider told me, back in 2011.

Do you really think the likes of stonehewer felt they could be world champion? I know their mad being speedway riders, but most are realistic!!

Being in the gps gain plenty in sponsorship money. As for harris thinking he will be world champ, thats just spin. After a decade of mostly failure in the gps, and well past his prime, you cant honestly tell me harris fancies his chances of being world champion this year!!!

the people moaning he isnt British because he is missing the british final find it an easy stick to use to beat him with.

And seeing as you claim to be so close to loram, ask how much his sponsorship increased for 2000 when his sponsors knew from the off hed be on sky tv every fortnight ?

a lot of people involved in speedway plead poverty year on year. Take your own club ipswich. Louis has on numerous occasions stated how he loses money year on year running the club both in the el and pl. why the hell do they

Come

To the tapes every season

Then? Ill tell you why, because when it boils down to it, they make a bit of money from it.

Continual Tai slating stating the same points over and over again is not debating. Me adding my opposite and personal (not sheep bandwagon jumping) POV is.

In light of that, coming on here reading the same old nonsense day after day again validates 'is this still going on'.

As you seem to feel you have a high level of intelligence, I shouldn't have to explain the above to you....but of course you were only being sarcastic...

Oh I love your continuing codswallop, you never fail to make me laugh at you!

And you reply again ...as normal your taking the same path ..moaning about a topic going on, and on but keep adding to it., the same as the time before ...it's almost Starman like .

So by your own admission you reply to the posts over and over again with the same counter point given you are replying to the same point?

The pay rates are not a secret - they are on the fim-live.com website. The winner gets US$12,000, 2nd US$8,800 all the way to 16th who gets US$3,400 and the riders have to pay all costs - hotels, travel etc other than for Melbourne.

I doubt any make any profit from prize money alone

Of course, the bottom half wont make much profit off prize money alone.

But sponsorship will see their funds go up.

People will continue to say otherwise, but the back markers year on year try and get in as they make a bit of money from it.

Your comment was they make "decent" money which is different to "a bit of money"

The prize money is really poor and goes nowhere near covering costs, even for the top riders. There is simply no profit to come from GP prize money alone. But, being in the GP series allows them to get places in the European leagues and command higher pay rates than non-GP riders plus the media exposure helps with gaining sponsorship
