Kings Lynn Stars V Belle Vue Aces 31/3

Recommended Posts

a lesson in gating tonight from Belle Vue .. 1st to the turn in pretty much every race and Kings Lynn couldn't do anything about it.

Kings Lynn highlight was the determination shown by Huckenbeck

Huckenbeck was the one positive tonight. Build a team of racers to entertain, have a lovely fine couple of days and get a gaters paradise. Having said that stars were awful out of the traps and paid the price against a strong bv who clearly mean business this season and should give Poole a run for their money.

For some reason, (I know not why), I decided to pay the AFA a visit tonight. Bad mistake! It most definitely was a lesson in gating from the Aces. The Stars have a real chance of winning something this season - the wooden spoon!

Schlein and Korneliussen have provided many years of excellent service to King's Lynn but both look past their sell-by dates. Lambert has promise but has not yet got the all-round ability to be a heat leader. He continues to be handicapped by poor starts and unless he can improve in this area, his progress in years to come will be seriously restricted. The Stars have further problems in that they have the weakest pair of reserves in the league. Huckenbeck looks a useful acquisition and NKI is, of course, sheer class. That's it for this season. Hoping for better in 2017.

Belle Vue looking like a top two team and Kings Lynn shown up as a very weak team. Lord knows they are going to be whipping boys once Nki leaves.

i take it that you are just goading as usual. Anyone with half a brain knows the elite league is a 2 horse race and will be the most boring league ever. I'm off to Foxhall Saturday night to see a decent meeting thanks not the elite league borefest

Christ you're a positive soul Starboy!! Can'take give up til the fat lady sings lol

It was a bad day at the office, outgated and ridden in many heats but NKI was our saviour and agree that Kai looks a great prospect, heat 9 was fab 😆

Rob tried his level best but along with the others he made it hard for himself from the gate, but his trackcraft 😊

Just a mention for the long and interesting interview with Cookie, hope his hard work pays off 😊

I think PUK is in a good position to demand a bit more money to stay the season if im honest. Put batchelor in for him, and this team looks woeful.

Wilko riding injured wont help either.

Too many inconsistent riders in this side imo, and if batchelor does replace iversen, theres 3 or 4 riders who are just as likely to score 1 or 2 as they are 9 or 10.

I wouldn't hold my breath that we shall see Batch ride for the Stars as far as I no he's not even had a practice yet . It could be the dreaded guest if we are able to have a guest or r/r for the Iversen/ Batchelor position- for me they want to be offering big money or what ever it takes to get Iversen to do a full season - without Iversen the team is PL side .

If Iversen leaves just watch the crowd leave as well .

Last night confirmed what many of us thought. It's gonna be a season of struggle for Lynn. NKI will be gone soon with Batch coming in. This could be as bad a season as Waggys last one at the helm in 2002.

Agree with you Haza can see numbers dropping off PDQ

After last nights result I don't think the crowd will be very big on Monday for the visit of Coventry. I will be at home watching on Sky.

as the BSPA dont want to upset Sky by allowing periscope you are only doing exactly what the BSPA want.

That should make you feel better :P

King's Lynn's side is ok. It's as good as most.

Everyone knows Belle Vue and Poole are streets ahead of the others and early results indicate that.

Give the record player a nudge its stuck in a groove. You have repeated yourself at least a dozen times in the last 2 weeks. You dont have to say the same thing virtually every day. We only have to read it once to understand you think the EL poor and the PL great.

Please give your brain a nudge the next time you think of writing the same thing yet again.

I thought it was a very enjoyable meeting apart from wanting Tony Steele to be a bit quicker with the 2 minutes on a few occasions.

Belle Vue were sharper from the gate and look a strong team.

My pet hate as it drags things out

Unless there is track grading or a rider with 2 on the trot 2 mins should go on as soon as riders are back in the pits.

Busters programme notes mentioned some presentation improvements - have I missed something?

.

......but there fans are not as good as most. Biggest bunch of pessimistic, glass-half-empty, faint-hearted, unsupportive moaners in the Elite League. Worse whingers than even Coventry or Swindon fans. Two years ago they were telling us Chapman walked on water, now we have one poor result against a strong team and they want to walk away.

Sport goes in cycles. Someone has to win and someone has to lose. Belle Vue have had their share of losing in the last few years, as have Lakeside, Leicester and Wolves.

Wolves won the league in 2009.
