Plymouth Remain Open!

Recommended Posts

Sorry to hear this and I have asked for friday matches thread to be taken down out of respect. You are more than welcome at the Rebels.

Yes, I second that. Perhaps Exeter could use Plymouth Track and some of the riders. What would there be to stop them providing the sums are right !!!

What a shock and a mess. I used to love my visits down to Plymouth, hardly the most glamorous speedway set up in the world but a great track and a real sense of being on the action with the viewing facilities.

Let's hope this doesn't go the same way Newport did after the Mallet's left there, as it has a very similar feel to it!

What happens if my sponsorship certificate becomes invalid?

Your sponsor is obligated to tell UK immigration if they no longer employ you or if there is a significant change in your job or salary. These circumstances may mean that your sponsored visa is not valid and you will no longer have permission to work in the UK.

If you have been approved for a Tier 2 visa, you can apply to change employment, either within the same organisation or with a new organisation. The application will be treated as a new application and a new sponsorship certificate will be required from another licensed sponsor. However, having been sponsored already will give you and your new employer confidence that approval is very likely.

 ?

I really hope Exeter make a clean break and go no where near Plymouth

I don't think fans of the Falcons would really want to travel to Plymouth every week, else they would have been doing so already

Lets just hope any money left in Plymouth speedway is used to invest in Exeter speedway as Colin Hill intended

A bit of an overreaction, why close the tread out of respect? Respect of what? no one has died. Hope something can be done to save them.

I meant it out of respect that as, for now, plymouth won't be riding and i don't think their fans want to be reading any match threads.

This on the back of the National stadium debacle really spoils the start of the season; and shows the sport in a poor light.

Is there no way; that in the interests of the sport; it could be run as joint venture in the hope of securing a buyer.

Or am I just a speedway fantasist ?.

Sorry for all Devils fans; always a colourful outfit to watch at the Scunny.

Feel for the fans of Plymouth and the riders.

The Promoter should hang their head in shame, they must have known that they were in so much trouble why did not warn people I have not seen anything to say that they have had any financial difficulties.

They will have sold season tickets to fans and what about the fans and Promoters at other clubs, they have sold and bought season tickets on the understanding that there would have been 12 league fixtures.

Are they going to refund money to the clubs and their fans?

It's ok. Riders "do it for the fans" so I'm sure the Plymouth riders will turn up and ride for nothing, or at least expenses for a few weeks.

Riders turn up for nothing ? tell you what, your just the chap I'm looking for, ill pay your traveling expenses, take a week off work, 3 cars on the drive you can valet & when you have done that just cut the grass back & front!

The promotion must have been well aware of the financial situation in advance of the season starting. Perhaps they were hanging on in desperation that things would improve. I don't think anyone can blame a business for trying this. Is this the tip of the iceberg though? How many other clubs are struggling or worse still on the brink. Scunthorpe made it clear last year that things had to improve or else. I know it's too early to say but the league cup group is going to be a mess to sort out.

Very sad news for fans and riders,is it to late to switch to th NL or is that not a goer either, worked for Eastbourne and brumies, riders should of been told before as it must of been on the cards, hope someone will save club, waste of Colin hills estate money, but that's insight.hope Devils back sooner than we think.all the best to Plymouth supporters.if finance allows can come support the rebels, have always said a track should be built halfway between Exeter and Plymouth with fans from both teams make one good viable team, may happen now.
