Comet Dan
The action gets underway on Saturday at Derwent Park in what is becoming our traditional opener against the Diamonds. Rasmus Jensen won't be in the line up until the official fixtures start against Redcar in the League Cup due to existing commitments so we will operate R/R for these pre-season meetings. If anyone can confirm how the Diamonds will line up it would be appreciated. Workington 1 Ricky Wells © 2 R/R Rasmus Jensen 3 Kenneth Hansen 4 Mason Campton 5 Claus Vissing 6 Adam Roynon 7 Matt Williamson Newcastle 1 Robert Lambert 2 Tero Aarnio 3 Matej Kus 4 Ludvig Lindgren 5 Steve Worrall 6 Lewis Rose 7 Danny Phillips
jenga
r/r @ 2 is going to give the workington promotion some flack about utilizing r/r for a rider who has not even had an official practice for workington yet . so hold onto yer knickers and run from the diamonds fans on here . just thought i would mention it before some other troll pipes up .. its going to be close, but hoping for a blu n white win... Newcastle look really good. is Lambert going to be there or is he using his get out clause ?
diamond@heart
No Robert Lambert I believe as he has a commitment in Germany, think I heard someone mention R Worrall today, could be wrong though! 😮

StevePark
explain this comment please . The full quote is: "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Basically (in this case) meaning you shouldn't caste aspersions, when you yourselves are in the same predicament. You're the one who says you're only often on the Forum to give and take banter or craic, so that is exactly what I'm doing!
Bandits4eva
He means why have a pop at Lambert when Jensen is elsewhere also!
jenga
yes, why indeed. did i have a so called pop @ lambert being @ worky for the first meeting . it was a question that most fans wanted to know. even newcastle fans . given mr lamberts history it was a relevant question of him attending or not . newcastle would have known his other commitments when they signed him in good time before the season started .(months) ? i wold like to keep an eye on his absent record for this season ! jensen was signed as a replacement for ty (as you know) who didn't/couldnt make the start of the season due to other issues . jensen was going to give the uk season a miss and after a number of avenues were dead ends . the management were put in a position where they signed what they believed the best rider available to them at the time . they did know that he would miss meetings... so the way i see it , workington can justify jensens missing opener @ worky. so the next question is will robert and indeed jensen turn up for the following days opener @ brough ? maybe a look on the newcastle site will reveal the line ups , who knows. when you are on your own , never fart in a lift, there is only only one person to blame . what came first, the chicken or the egg ? the egg of course . As already stated by Comet Dan in the opening post, Jensen won't be in Comets colours until the LC match with Redcar. As for the Diamonds website, it doesn't mention that Robert or Rasmus are missing, indeed it says they make their debut (sic). Mind, the writer of that particular piece can't spell Roynon either. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100487 Edited March 21, 2016 by Steve Park
erniew
I was told by a reputable source today at the practice that the promotion were aware of Roberts commitment on Saturday when he signed but will be available for Sunday at Newcastle. Comet Dan
Sadly the only sensible decision that could be made, winds and rain forecast all day. People can now make alternate plans for their Easter Saturday.
cheviot
been looking forward to this for months but the dreaded weather takes its toll again.hope there's not to much rain for tomorrow and a meeting to watch
Django
I read on Facebook that because it wasn't raining in Carlisle 40 miles away it should be on! It hasn't stopped in Workington where the actual track is, I despair of people sometimes!
jenga
dont think its raining in hull, is it still on ... 40 miles is not that far away.. yea, TRY WALKING IT . or looking at the forecast . its usually not that far away, the forecast, not Carlisle .lol. but the distance on the map is so small and the sat nav shows no rain at all ..strange innit . better luck tomorrow .
