Pirates Vs Roobins, Ela, 25 Mar 2016, 12 Noon

Recommended Posts

Track was watered every four heats and Kurtz got caught out off bend four once. Track was good bar a bump on bend one.

And that was down to the time of day, and the diabolical winter we've had. 8am this morning the track was slush, but assuming the forcast was right it would be fine, and as many saw even the bowers made an appearance before the start. But it will come, the boys will have it sorted.

No-one complaining track side. Scoreline explained by Poole being able to get out of the gate, Swindon shocking. Like EL against PL.

Dear old uncle Rosco said the self same thing. But theres an awful lot more to winning at poole bar getting out the gate.. ;)

Shows the true attitude of some Poole fans who no matter what feel the need to gloat when they win. Quite sad really. Speedway is the only loser when one team is so dominant but some can't see past the end of their nose I guess. I'm sure they will be happy when the win another title and the sport is at its lowest ebb for many a year. And this isn't a dig at Poole or the team they have built which is quite within the rules it's the fact that the sport is totally suffering and the more clubs suffer the worst it becomes so the need to gloat doesn't show people in a good light

Sorry Gavan but fans are allowed to celebrate a win, especially against local-ish rivals and Poole fans love to see the team beat Rosco led teams!!

If Swindon win on Sunday I am not going to tell their fans off for celebrating. You only call it gloating cos you don't like it!

Congratulations to the rampant Pirates albeit against the weakest Swindon side I can remember..

Thought we might have scored half a dozen more, all from Nick Morris, but he didn't turn up and neither did Tungate.

Poole should win the EL with ease and hand out many similar drubbings at Wimborne Road this year.

It looks to be a long hard season for the Robins though !

If Krzysztof Buczkowski was available on 6.48 and not one club approached him before Poole, then it's little wonder everyone will be blown away by the Pirates again this year. Another astute piece of team building from the red hot favorites...

Very true, he was avaliable to any club, but not one club went in for him. That tells you the state of the rest. Sad really. Its called ambition, but clearly many others don't seem to have that.

Lakeside have no ambition because they didn't sign Buckowski ? You really are a complete nincompoop. One might argue there are some shortcomings in Lakesides team building and there might be question marks over their ambition but failure to sign Buckowski isn't one of them. I cant think of a less likely track for him to cope with now that Eastbourne has left the EL. I think all he has ever done at Lakeside is make holes in the airfence.

Is there no end to the shortsighted drivel you post ?

stop talking out your backside you pillock! Why in gods name would Lakeside or Wolves go for him??? Leicester and other clubs simply sont have the finances available to afford the riders that Poole can which has been the case for years right back to when Rickardsson was offered a fortune to replace Mark Loram. Yes Matt Ford is good at business but get your head out of the arse of your club and realise there are other teams, I'm sure you won't be happy until there is just 1 club left who own every rider. Most Poole fans on here we can take. You are an imbecile

Could going up against a Prem team in a friendly have tuned the Robins riders to Prem League pace - whereas the Pirates had the shield against Coventry. Time will tell but maybe warm up matches against foreign opposition would be better?

Great job building the team by the Poole Management - you get out what you put in and they work hard for us.

What changes do you think Swindon can make - when Rosco says things will change does he mean luck, attitudes or personnel?
