Peter Craven/grand Opening

Recommended Posts

This early in the season with most riders not yet raced, or at least had very little track time, can we say anyone is favourite?.

Brand new track and race rusty riders could mean some surprise results.

Nicki now flying with BA, but dont land at Heathrow till 16.10, so thats going to be a push to get to Manchester in time!

At least he's giving it a go, probably some that wouldn't.

Anyone got a helicopter?

Sure to be a few delays and lengthy introductions lol.

So, have I rewad right that Nicki will land at Manchester at 16:10, if so that easy for him, BV is less then 30 min away .

Any one going tonight that could post race results up direct from the stadium, even if its only every 4 heats?

How great to see one of the most famous clubs in speedway in a brand new stadium befitting their great history.

Every time I hear the name Belle Vue, I can't help but think of Peter Craven, one of the greatest English riders ever, and by far the most spectacular of the so-called big 5, of the old National League.

There is no better meeting than this to start of this new era in the club's history.

They have not had the success of old lately, but who knows, this new stadium may pave the way to more success.

One thing for sure, Poole will never be regarded in the same way as Belle-Vue, they will be remembered for something different altogether.

May tonight's meeting be a huge success, with much more to come.
