Coventry V Poole Es Second Leg 18/03/2016

Recommended Posts

Garrity looks like he may have got his bikes sorted. Riding as a heatleader at no 5 against Leicester at the moment and beat their number 3, 5 and just won the TR over Leicester's number 1 &2.

Scored 14pts riding at no 5 in the EL format 👍🏻

I hope he scores 14 for us next week as a second string or I won't be happy :D

In percentage terms the £3 increase is a large jump. If it had been applied across the board there would have been uproar. Most complain about a £1 price rise.

I doubt many would be stuck for the extra £3 to be honest, but some might just feel that £17 is not value for money , and so far as I can see no other track is trying that pricing policy.

I can't be bothered to check the prices at other tracks except my local one but compared to Leicester all the prices are cheaper at Coventry apart from being £2 extra for pensioners. I don't think any other track is using this pricing policy this season but who knows what will happen in the future ~ even next season.

Leicester Coventry

Adults £18. Adults £17.

OAP's £15. OAP's £17.

Ages 10 - 16 £5. All children Free.

Student £7.50p Student £5.

If you were to check other tracks prices you would see that seniors can gain entry to Monmore for £13 this season. £4 less than Brandon, and regardless of how you dress it up it will cost them £3 more to watch the bees compared to last seasons prices.

To be fair, quoting across the board prices has no relevance, all anyone is really interested in is the cost of their own entry.

Horton has adopted this pricing policy for just one reason.

He will know from his turnstile clicks exactly how many people from each sector attend and he has obviously calculated that this new system will increase his income.

No, I mean he is taking advantage of just one section of his audience .

Taking away a perk someone (or a group) have had for years is not taking advantage. Taking advantage would be to charge OAPs more. Asking everyone to pay the same seems fair to me.

Hardly a perk I would suggest. Senior concessions have been ,and still are part of British life they are offered by many businesses & organisations

I have no doubt that when you reach your old age you will be more than happy to take advantage of any benefits that might come your way.

You really do rate him that highly then!! (That's a statement not a question.) :-)

Why wouldn't he get a heat 15? He did yesterday against Leicester. He was able to beat their whole team, including their heatleaders and that was riding at a tougher position.

1. It was a joke!

2. If he has scored 11 from his 4 programmed rides why wouldn't he get heat 15 and why could he not beat their heat leaders again?

Tbh, I'd be happy with 6 from 4, really pleased if he gets 10 even with heat 15. And yes, he's capable of doing it.

I know you were joking! But someone else wasn't! ;)

Poole are a stronger side than Leicester. Garrity also had bike problems after the practice and had to use Bates bike in heat 1.

Which he got a 5-1 on, so how is it an issue?
