Reviresco
The start line girls need a few weeks to get dialled in. Anyone else notice the riders were off the wrong gate positions from about heat six onwards? Yes, a few of us noticed the gate positions. Perhaps that was another typo and they were off the correct gates? Was this due to the Heat format in the programme being the Elite League version when it should, of course, have been the Premier League format? Early days of course, but good to see Cam Heeps and Mr Lanham posting some decent scores and showing signs of a strong home partnership. arnieg
Notwithstanding the cold, the delays and the programme layout howler, what struck me about last night was how upbeat and positive the crowd was. A marked contrast to the grumbling on here over the winter. Still think Rockets are one of the weaker teams, but Stuart Robson illustrated the importance (often under estimated by promoters) of having entertaining riders that the fans can identify with. I'm glad I chose this over Belle Vue!
Brian
Really cold last night, but a very enjoyable meeting and a positive start to the season. Never realised Robbo could make 5 starts like that!
waco
Had to work last night so was not there ,but great to see the team making a promising start..Robson may well prove to be a better rider round here than he has been in recent seasons elsewhere.. So with the exception of Karger who may need time to get dialed in ,,and Kasper who must have had problems last night,a good all round showing from the team...The winter negativity on here seems to be giving way to some positive expectations which can only be good for Rye House Speedway..... Ben91
Couldn't make it but a win over a decent looking Plymouth side is encouraging. Hopefully Robbo can keep up that kind of form going forward. One point from the Danes is a concern, Lykke has been around long enough to be doing better than that. Haven't seen Karger ride but it's imperative he scores to his average, if he carries on in the vein he started then there's a danger he's going to be another Maassen. Good scoring from Morley and Lanham, if Heeps can chip in with paid double figures every week he'll prove a very good signing.

Ipswich is geographically more 'southern' but would imagine moving a side who have yet to have a meeting would be easier.
