Woz01
May as well give others an extra ride Yeah I can see the benefit to be fair, it is a glorified challenge after all. Are we allowed R/R for number ones this year though?

Give it a couple of months and you might be able to say reserve, knowing Matt.
mdmc82
I think this will be a easy home win, with or without KK. Poole have a team with 4 heatleaders (still not sure how buzz wasn't on the list) whilst Coventry have a team with 4 reserve like riders. Predict 52-
SteveLyric2
Buzz wasn't on the list because he didn't meet the list criteria - ie he didn't ride EL in 2015 - but lets not drag all that up again. Good to hear that KK is having laser treatment to try to be fit for this week. No breaks but severe bruising and ligament damage.
Reviresco
Yeah I can see the benefit to be fair, it is a glorified challenge after all. Are we allowed R/R for number ones this year though? Yes, as last year, a Guest or RR allowed for missing Number Ones. The change this year was to attempt to limit the number of Guests used by changing the facility to cover an absent Rider 4th or 5th in the Team's averages to RR only, whereas a Guest was permitted last year. SteveLyric2
Good to hear that KK is getting physio in Poole tomorrow in an attempt to be fit for Wednesday. Poole riding order for Wednesday: 1.Holder; 2. Kurtz; 3. Watt; 4. Andersen; 5. Buzz; 6. Ellis; 7. Newman.

Seriously the better reserve should ride at no 6 & that is another mistake that wasn't changed in the winter.

Woz01
Going by the numbers they were wearing at P&P the Bees riding order will be, 1,Kasprzak 2,Garrity 3,King 4,Woryna 5,Harris 6,Bates 7,Sarjeant

mdmc82
Why does it matter Because isn't it only the no 6 reserve that can move in to the main body of the team?

The thing I find crazy about the Buzz situation is he has come in as a 2nd string but has to ride at a heat leader position. I thought it was just the main reserve?. Think any of them can go into the 1-5 as long as it is only one of them. Edited March 14, 2016 by tellboy
Reviresco
Think any of them can go into the 1-5 as long as it is only one of them. Only one EDR (the one with the highest MA) may move into a Team's top 1-5. The 6th & 7th Riders (by MA) must ride at #6 & #7. Only an EDR may ride at #7. Woz01
The tier 2 rider stays at reserve while the tier 1 rider can move up. If a club has two tier 2 riders then the one with the highest starting average assumes the tier 1 role.
Reviresco
The lower ranked EDR stays at reserve. The tier 2 rider stays at reserve while the tier 1 rider can move up. Can you please advise where this is stated in the 2016 Regulations? The way I read it from the info I extracted is that it is the EDR with the highest Match Average that would move into the main body of the team, if their MA was higher than a 1-5 Rider after the pre-requisite qualifying period, and that it is not dependent on whether that is the Tier 1 or Tier 2. If an EDR does move into the 1-5 position, then the Rider displaced has to ride at #6 and the other EDR at #7.
