Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16

Recommended Posts

Well here we go withour first meeting of the season, weather permitting. Should be a very interesting meeting to start the season and a good time to throw down a marker of intention.

Hoping for an 8 point lead to take to Brandon.

Thoughts?

No problems with the weather!!!!!

Dry days before, and Day and evening of meeting, calm too, daytime temps around 12c evening around 6c. Water will be needed....

The weather forecasts changes day to day in this country, so will probably be snowing by the time the meeting comes around!

50-40

The weather will be set fair from Sunday this week, large area of high pressure centres across the UK for at least the next 10 days or so according the the models.. only fly in the ointment is that it's still March and its a dirty high (lots of claggy cloud, sun may not be strong enough to burn it off) if and where the sun does break through, low to mid teens temperatures can be achieved.... There should be no signifacant precipitation of any kind over the next 10 days or so, still frost possible where clear sky's form overnight..

Coming up to Brandon for the return next Friday. Going to stay over as I am attending an auction in Banbury the next day. Hope this long spell of dry weather holds true otherwise it will mess up my plans.

Anyone know the lineups? I am guessing Poole will be full strength.

If its needed it will be put on. As it stands its been very wet in Poole, but the track will be good for P&P and will be fine for next Wednesday.. Air temperature is still very low.

Really? Blue skies here, can't imagine rain anywhere!!

The rain we had on Wednesday was very heavy from early hours till afternoon. Seen pictures yesterday near to Brandon with fields and roads flooded. Today's would've been a lovely day to watch P&P.

I see Poole fans put up a small 8-10 point win when quite clearly they should win this by nearer 20. That way they can say there amazed by their team when they win by more than the 8 they predicted. Poole to win by 15 in the 2 team boring elite league
