Baldyman
How many chances do you give someone to score zero? 3 or 4? You shouldn't give it too many as those meetings could be used getting another rider settled in. I would give it another 3 meetings as basically we already out of this competition. Let's get ready for the league
Pob
Ritchings was a bright spark on an otherwise poor After last night, maybe CL should stage a meeting next week to enable the riders to have some more track time. Looking at the fixtures for next Thursday, Lewi Kerr would be missing, but it would give Sarjeant, Castagna and Ritchings some valuable track time. I don't know why Sarjeant wasn't on the Italy trip, but he's started the season stone cold compared to the rider who finished last season, not finishing ahead of an opponent in 8 heats. Maybe the new starting arrangements haven't helped? Hopefully tonight he'll show some spark of an upturn. I don't think having to attend Lakeside's P&P in the morning helped Lewi Kerr's preparation for the evening meeting and it will take him awhile to get used to the Jawa. Castagna on Jawas too. Darryl did everything expected and was probably very nervous in Heat 2. Settled and with a great attitude and approach will steadily accumulate his points. Will be interesting to see how he goes at Somerset tonight. With Morten's injury, I guess Danyon Hume may be seen in a Witches race-jacket sooner than expected. OK, early days, but with a competitive LC Group maybe there is something to be said for a Challenge match to start the season... Ritchings bright spark on a dull night . Battled all night for his 4 points including holding off his opposite number in his 2nd race when under pressure. What more could you ask for from your number 7 well done lad Edited March 18, 2016 by Pob

Have to agree can't believe we haven't got a home meeting for another 16 days. With not running on good Friday we should run on the Thursday. They could've run the star of anglia to at least give our riders some more track time. With rye house not in our league cup group we could've started the season with a challenge match against them. Bit of poor planning with so many new riders in the team to go straight into a competitive match.

25yearfan
Only one meeting but Ipswich already look very weak and the blow of losing one of the better riders in Risager is massive! Ritchings at number 7 is what he is so anything above 2-3 points a meeting will be a bonus but Castagna was nothing more than a tyre packer! Going on his British results last year and overall career results in a lesser speedway Country, I didn't expect much from Castagna but I did expect him to be a major force in heat2 and have the beating of the oppositions number 7 NL standard rider! My only worry with Castagna is because of who his father is he will get longer in the team to prove than he actually will deserve? Having two weak reserves is a major handicap which requires the top 5 to be solid and consistant! As for the track, yes it was to slick but this was the 1st meeting on a bitterly cold night! OILYRAG
Lovely lad Paco, but at this moment he just not ready and the way the league is structured at the moment things are not going to get any better. The clue I guess was how easily Sheffield let Ipswich take Paco and it was not just a loan deal they sold him. Good win for Scunthorpe will be interesting to see how the group unfolds and how they fare against different opposition. For Ipswich I don't think they need to press the panic button just yet James Sarjeant will have faf better nights, but they may need to keep a close look at the reserves which is going to be a weak spot in the team. That being the case , why was I just about the only one on the Sheffield 2016 thread saying he should not be in the Tigers team this season ? Not good enough for the PL in my opinion. Gavan
Scunny will smash them, wilko will clean up at reserve, watch Auty go this year This was the original post from the troll that invades our thread all the time slagging off the riders and promotion and before a wheel has been turned has been abusive towards Paco. Go on the Ipswich thread you will see his insults. why don't you take your daft childish trolling and invade another team pathetic individual. Paco to get a 4 race maximum This was my response to him telling him to leave the forum. For those of you stupid enough my comment about a 4 race maximum from Paco is called tongue in cheek, or sarcasm call it what you want The old "tongue in cheek" line when your made to look an idiot... Cant beat it If you would care to explain how ive been made to look an idiot then please enlighten me?? As stated read the posts. I knew full well Paco wouldnt get a maximum it was a dig back at the troll. Jeez some people can not understand English
