Hope For Darcy? Groundbreaking News For Severed Spinal Injuries.

Recommended Posts

so is it just for people with a severed spinal column?

if that's the case how do we know if it might help someone like Darcy as we haven't been told what his injuries are I don't think

He's confined to a wheelchair and cannot walk, what else do you want to know.

As sad as Darcys injuries are and its a tragedy why is the title of the thread about Darcy? Surely this should be aimed at all riders not just 1. Joe Owen, Per Jonsson, Krysztof Cegielski, Kim Jansson, Lawrence Hare, Garry Stead, Leigh Adams, all this riders have suffered devastating injuries but it seems we only keep reflecting on one. Is this cause it was most recent? Don't know

BEEN thinking along those lines myself. When Briggo did his ride a few years back it was for the benefit of all those disabled former riders.

Hoping to catch up with Alan Wilkinson at the opening on the NSS on the 19th. What a hero. And his wife Jean, too. So easy to forget those whose own lives are also turned upside down to say the least.

Maybe Steve Brandon should do what Briggo did and do a walk for ALL disabled former riders and not just pick the one who has already had huge financial support and then admitted to having put away enough money when racing to buy a nice house on the Gold Coast.

In all walks of life, charity is a personal thing. im guessing Steve Brandon was closer to Darcy than

injured riders of the past. If Steve wants to raise money for Darcy, good on him, and anyone sponsoring him will be aware of the cause. Im sure if people want to help other riders, you have the same option.

I chose to sponsor a lowly averaged rider in the past, it was my individual choice who I chose, everyone can raise money in some form or other, shame theres not more Steve Brandons and Tai Woffindens out there!

Not true. It was a selected 12. Kim Jansson for example, was omitted which led to Ipswich vetoing Briggs' planned Foxhall visit of his fund raising.
