Bt Sports Costs

Recommended Posts

I was just looking at the cost of Bt Sports on my Sky package. £19.99 a month on top of what I already pay. I only have Sky sports to watch speedway on, never really use it for any other sport.

The most local track to me is Belle Vue 45 miles away, I can't make all the meetings, but I would rather make sure I could get to at least one meeting a month, than give my money to BT Sport. Like most people, we only have a limited amount of money.

Will try and keep my ears and eyes closed to any results and watch the GPs on Youtube uploaded by someone from another country a few days later.

For BT sport - change your broadband provider to plusnet or BT then add BT sport to your Sky TV. Currently some cracking deals can be had on on both.

For Sky Sports, if you really only watch it for Elite League it might be cheaper to cancel it and use Now TV instead.

Use the money you save to attend more matches at Belle Vue.

My sons got an Amazon box thingy with kodi on it.he says il get the gps on bt sport on his tv.or I can buy something for about 35 pound and plug it into my tv and il get the gps on that.very stressful and technical for someone with no techno interest whatsoever.it was much easier with just 3 channels!

You don't need to be tech savvy to understand kodi. If you can understand English and type on a keyboard for about two minutes you get it all for free. Just follow jasonmoore85 on YouTube and follow his instructions. So simple a ten year old could do it.

Lots going on at the moment in the Android / Kodi world. The main issue is the charging for Addons that work on Kodi. NEVER pay for addons or special 'builds' they are all free! Also big thing about people using the name 'Kodi' on YouTube with lots being taken down as 'Kodi' is a trademark that has nothing to do with the Addons that allow users to watch TV. You might want to search YouTube for help but better to use Kodi forums or twitter instead.

I thought exactly the same as you Bruno,

It did take some time to get the thing working & with the help of YouTube videos (& encouragement from Steve Shovlar - Thanks Steve) I got there & am enjoying the benefits. Can't wait for the GP's to start now.

good way of watching it on you tube, easy to avoid results as tv and papers ignore it, just don't look on here!

The way things are going is anyone going to be watching live on BT sports and at £19-99 can you wonder at it - it's time BT and Sky realised they can't keep paying millions for football and expect other sports fans to help pay for it .

Spot on.

I bet the 'net migration' of TV watching Speedway fans has been OUT of paying this last few months.

The Android box/Kodi/Amazon Fires stick explosion has probably meant that for 2016 there will be fewer Speedway Supporters paying any cash at all to to the TV companies than in any previous year this century.

My TV bill is at its lowest since about 1998.

Sky and BT should be more realistic in what they charge customers they have to realise it's not a bottomless pit of spare cash to pay for TV Sports - how far are armchair fans willing to go with tv subscriptions that's what Sky and BT should ask themselves ? I think in lots of cases the limit has been reached .

Great thanks to everyone, I have a lot to look into  But in the mean time , got tickets for Peter Craven memorial and the weekend tickets for the Speedway World cup £27.50 for the Friday race off and Saturday final, bit of a bargain price for two nights of Speedway and a lot cheaper and closer than Cardiff . We love Cardiff been for the last four years, but we have compromise. My only hope is that the new Belle Vue (with larger crowds) can bring back the magical and most memorable nights that Hyde road used to give. Hyde road was brilliant and I think was the widest track I ever road and Crewe was the most amazing track ever !! I thought Ellesmere Port was a fast track, but the huge banking at Crewe was exhilarating to say the least :t: and if anyone ever saw Phil Crump flat out at Crewe, he was majestic ! :t::t:

Well I am watching the Liverpoo v Augsburg match here on Kodi through channel FS1, an American channel with American commentators and its in crystal clear HD with no buffering.

No reason to not watch the speedway in HD next month. Plenty of places to find HD sports streams on Kodi.

And by not watching on Bt Sports also has the added bonus of not having to put up with their dodgy ex-footballers being commentators or pundits!

Glad you happy with your "investment" Steve :t:
