Crazy robin
Now the new but un-announced by the authorities No 8 rider comes in it will be back to the good old days of a dodgy 4 point foreign rider being unveiled. Could you imagine either of the Polish or Sweden leagues letting British riders do the same thing?.
mikebv
don't see beyond poole myself.. they wont hesitate in strengthening if need be, and will always do whats needed..would like to think the bees could be in contention, probably sentimental reasons, as think Brandon is wonderful stadium and shame its going. Be interesting to see who the 'unheard of, untried, new to this country' No.8 and No9 are for Poole.. Two names I have heard being considered are Nicolai Pedersensson an up and coming young Dane, and Gregori Hancockski, an American buck of Polish descent so won't need a work permit... I am pretty sure neither have ridden over here before which means that the integrity of the new rule (should it officially actually exist obviously) will be as beyond reproach as so many other rules have been over the years.. hyderd
1??? 2. Robert Lambert Is a huge prospect at the right age to kick on imo he will be the best no 2 in the league 3. Rory Schlein Roo boy is coming back from an injury but he has bounced back before & will add with his team ethic 4. Mads Korneliussen As much as i don't like him he will more then hold his own in this EL as a 2nd string. 5. Troy Batchelor I am predicting big things with Troy in 2016 i think a change of track is exactly what was needed & where better the regain your confidence then where you made your name in the uk . I just hope his injury heals in time for the season start 6. Carl Wilkinson Inspired choice of guest for many teams in 2015 so hopefully can produce that over a season for the stars. 7. Lewis Rose Showed what a force he can be in the no 7 role at Swindon before his injury . If he can get back to that form on a track he calls home he will be their secret weapon against the likes of Clegg Nielsen & Jacobs That is my thoughts on KL & their position if they get a good no1 i would put my money on them being in the play off's I read your thoughts on Belle Vue and as you say "we all have differing oppinions" you then choose to place K/Lynn higher even though half of the published team are coming back from injuries, 2 of them serious injuries. ????? As a Belle vue fan to an extent i can see where lionking is comming from but i do think(hope) we will do better than 6th. My point being is that i think it is hard to predict what this team will do there are to many unknowns. Will they all ride the new track well nobody knows. We will not have any track advantage for the earlier meetings, will that cost us some wins.Zagar will be Zagar. Will Cook continue where he left off last season and finally become a true heat leader home and away.Nicholls rode Kirky lane very very well will he be as good on the new track.Fricke,S and R Worrall and jacobs all have potential to be better but will they. So as i say its very hard to predict what this team will do there are to many unknown factors so i will not predict anything i will just wait and see. This post is correct about Belle Vue, but the same rule of thumb applies to every team in this season's weakened EL that visits the NSS, on Belle Vue's side is we get to ride it more often. acef
Poole Belle Vue Coventry Swindon Kings Lynn Lakeside Wolverhampton Leicester Have to disagree with lion king. BV will have more than enough. Even with a lack of home advantage early on, the league is so poor this year, I'd fully expect us to be taking decent points on the road.
Woz01
Belle Vue will probably have more of a home advantage than people think. I'm sure they will get extensive practice while other riders will turn up never having seen the place before.
mikebv
Now the new but un-announced by the authorities No 8 rider comes in it will be back to the good old days of a dodgy 4 point foreign rider being unveiled. Could you imagine either of the Polish or Sweden leagues letting British riders do the same thing?. Wouldn't it have been simpler to just increase the number of allowed DU's to four per team..? If we took the top four from each PL team as being of a decent enough standard, then that would provide 52 riders.. The EL 8 teams would 'only' need 32 of them, thus leaving a further 20 to cover all the various absences.. Put in place that each EL team can have no more than one DU from any PL club, and that if one of the EL teams reserves are also PL then they cannot again have a DU from that team and surely it is workable? Even with any Aussie work permit restrictions their must be enough riders to provide easily 32 riders with plenty of 'spare' Having tried and tested riders rather than 'untried' riders surely has to be better? And it will also help re-assure suspicious fans who usually think (often with good reason) that many of the new rules brought in are done so with vested interest for an individual team at the forefront of it's integration, rather than the overall good of the sport.. Woz01
We are trying to get away from guests not increase them. The number 8 is a good idea in principle. The number 8 will fill in for riders missing in the 2-5, there may be a number 9 from tier 2 list to replace missing draft riders. Woz01
I agree but if that number 8 turns out to be an outstanding rider it will be abused To be honest if a number 8 turns out decent I dont have a problem with teams putting him in even based on form. If it is only to cover absences then you could always make a change and name him in the 1-7 if he's that good. Not sure we will see any that are heat leader standard although we haven't been told the criteria yet but Lakeside signing the kid Jonsson seems to show the level. Poole do indeed somehow manage to field the strongest side in each EL season, would be interesting if they could complete a season with there starting 1-

Steve Shovlar
Poole do indeed somehow manage to field the strongest side in each EL season, would be interesting if they could complete a season with there starting 1-7 As Stevebrum has said, we didnt make any changes last season. Changes are made because of injury or lack of form. Long gone are the days when a rider had his place fir the whole season.

Game On
I admit it took me by surprise too! Highly unusual. It was just that accident with Norths Dad in the playoffs that required a guest.

Need to get 4 of them to practice together to have proper races to get proper grips of the track! However riders like Watt who did not like the old BV track are going to be looking forward to riding the new one, so can't talk themselves out of doing well! I admit it took me by surprise too! Highly unusual. First time since 1999 probably!
