maneacat
Will be interesting to see the price as 72 races / effectively 5 meetings could be some outlay. Also has to be question marks as to how the surface will stand up to it in what could well be hot condtions. The campsite likely to be carnage too!! Yes the pricing of this is going to be interesting and the track will hopefully be able to cope unless we suffer a heatwave that weekend. But as for the campsite - really can't see that being a problem at all as the EoES regularly cater for thousands over many weekends throughout the summer months and are very experienced at organising this. New Science
Seems they are following the World Cups lead of seeding the home team directly to the final. Hate it in the World Cup hate it here. 3 teams have to scrap it out to qualify while the home team get seeded, ridiculous !

Just because Peterborough are the hosts, there`s no guarantee they will go on to win. I would like the Panthers to qualify the same as all the other teams, but it makes financial sense to seed the home team through.

Paul Johnson
camping free and 30 quid for 2 days racing or 20 quid just for sunday?
Paulco
2 nights in the Holiday Inn Express £200 , ouch , but it's more comfortable than camping . That's it booked now anyway .
RebelDan
Well done to the powers that be for at least trying to do something positive - this could be a cracking weekend event if they plan it properly and get some luck with the weather. Like many, I disagree with Pboro going straight through to the final. Get there on merit - if anything it's denying the Panthers fans of seeing their team twice

Ben91
Can someone explain why... " it wasn’t possible to bring back the qualifying rounds at the moment," as stated by Rob Godfrey? It's not as if they've had all winter to find a way to make it work is it...? Oh wait. It is something different granted but to say the fans have been listened to is a little patronising when the fans who wanted changes to the format were calling for regional qualifiers. If the fans are the justification for the changes being made then give them what they want.
Gemini
Sounds interesting,,, but will doggies be allowed to attend ? I don't see why not as dogs are welcome at Peterborough. Molly is always very impressed whenever she goes. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153948747132785&set=pb.550797784.-2207520000.1453490423.&type=3&theater

SCB
Get the price right and his could be brilliant. Speedway, tent and beer. What more could the significant other in your life want from a weekend away?!

topsoil
Good idea and if promoted and priced correctly, this could be a big money spinner. Like nearly everybody else I'm against Peterborough being seeded straight to the final, I'm no Edinburgh fan either, but I can see the merit, when there are 13 teams, to having the holders seeded through. But there could be a different number of teams in the league each year, so it might not always work to send the holders through. I would also like to see the qualifiers return, but is there much point when there are only 13 teams in the league? Unless you are only going to do without the semi finals on "finals day". It was great to have the qualifiers back in the day when there was 16+ teams in the league. Hope this works out and the weather behaves itself. It has the potential to provide another great weekend of speedway for fans, a bit like the Cardiff weekend on a smaller scale.
Haza
If it's anything like the last two years think campers need to book the Monday also as it will definitely over run into Monday .
