Sings4Speedway
Just seen the announcement for the Fours weekend and ive got to admit im excited! 2 days of speedway at an excellent racers track, the main event and a 20 heat individual meeting plus overnight camping and live bands at the showground. Consider the dates in my diary and as an added bonus I will be definitely attending.

Sings4Speedway
If it's anything like last years live band forget it  Perhaps but there is a large chance I will be nicely oiled by then and not care
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Will be interesting to see the price as 72 races / effectively 5 meetings could be some outlay. Â Also has to be question marks as to how the surface will stand up to it in what could well be hot condtions. Â The campsite likely to be carnage too!! Normski
Had something similar in 1985 individual meeting on the Saturday 2 semi-finals and a final then the 4's on Sunday.
sparkafag
It sounds great. I hope it works, this is the kind of idea that in theory could work, Speedway needs more 20/20, Darts World Final events. Â If there is a stage with a band get riders on stage as well talking about the event, or a Q&A session with formers riders. A panel of say Sean Wilson, Stoney and Peter Carr talking about the good old days of the PL would have its appeal to a certain section of the audience Possibly a downloadable app with rider content, interviews etc about the previous days meeting that can be viewed and watched before it starts again on Sunday. Â There could be loads of upside to it. Edited January 22, 2016 by sparkafag
Baldyman
Well that's at least one final for Peterborough then. Edited January 22, 2016 by baldyman
allthegearbutnaeidea
Sounds good to me, I'll be there, probably the best idea for a while
Triple.H.
No doubt it will be the wettest July weekend since records began
Shadders
The hosts, with home track advantage, get a bye to the final..... Marvellous  I s'pose the two day event covers them in case it rains on the Saturday. They can possibly run on Sunday without the individual Edited January 22, 2016 by Shads
StevePark
Can someone explain why... " it wasn’t possible to bring back the qualifying rounds at the moment," as stated by Rob Godfrey?
Bagpuss
Sounds like an excellent idea in principle, hopefully the nuts and bolts will match it!
Positive Thinker
Can someone explain why... " it wasn’t possible to bring back the qualifying rounds at the moment," as stated by Rob Godfrey?  Because the far-northern bloc didn't have enough votes to bring them back? diamond@heart
Sounds like a good idea hope they get the weather for it. Would have liked to get the old qualifiers back but at least this looks like a step in the right direct. Don't agree with Peterborough getting a bye into the final, they should have to get to the final on merit, not because the event is being staged at their home track and don't think them not being in the final would affect the crowd levels. Â Does this mean the PLRC will soon follow suit and become a two day event with the winner being decided over the two days!!! Bash
I'm not an Edinburgh fan, but IMO they should be seeded to the final as reigning champions not Peterborough as hosts. If this is to be an annual event Peterborough will be in the final every year as they normally host the fours. Are they scared nobody will turn up on Sunday if Peterborough aren't in the final. Â If two riders from every losing team on the Saturday go to the individual meeting on Sunday two will be reserves, how are they going to decide this. Shadders
They were truly awful , and with the queue at the bar , you couldn't avoid them Not only that, they were playing as they announced the team changes. We couldn't hear the announcements standing on the first bend Edited January 22, 2016 by Shads
screm
IMO the BSPA deserve credit for re-vamping the 4`s, I would've like to have seen the return of qualifiers but maybe this is the next best thing.
