RobMcCaffery
Don't forget that the British Speedway is available is in brilliant 4K on BT Sport I will be interested to hear what viewers think to it even though it's on the opposition channel. BT usually have a separate commentary team for their football coverage in 4K, apparently due to the field of view being much larger and so people get a much wider view of what's going on. Â I assume they won't be taking the same path tomorrow. Can you pass on my 'thanks' to 'Scoop' for blowing the gaffe on the Murray and Wales result/score on Wednesday night at Belle Vue? I was recording the latter to watch after the speedway. Never been a critic until now. That was stupid and inconsiderate. Â Love to see the 4K coverage. Sadly it'll have to be next year - at least I hope so. Â Good to see BT showing commitment. Edited July 8, 2016 by rmc
flagrag
I don't have BT 4K at home so it would be good if any fans that do have it could record a clip on their phone and then upload it onto You Tube for everybody to see. Â With regards to comms I understand that the 4K broadcast will use the world feed today as the cameras are side by side so at same angle and unlike football the focus point is close together

RobMcCaffery
That was a rather vague ending from Pearson last night with no mention of when the next match will be shown on Sky, which it appears will not now be until August. Â Obviously the SWC enforces a break from the 23rd to 30th of July but it's a shame that there's nothing scheduled for next week in view of that enforced gap. It would have been reassuring to hear a message along the lines of "We'll back in early August" or even a date, even if the match could not be confirmed, just as a reassurance. Â No doubt flagrag can pass on his expert advice, as much as commercial confidentiality will allow. Â It seems that the EL, SGP and Sky coverage are fated to have large gaps in the schedule, with occasional gluts. It's all rather unstable though. I suppose it's all rather fitting. Â Anyway, it'll be good to hear the August schedule as the regular league schedule meets its premature climax to allow for the play-offs. flagrag
The next selection of Sky sports live matches will hopefully be available early next week maybe even later this week. Â I have the provisional plans of matches to be broadcast but are awaiting on clubs to confirm rider and stadium availability first as obviously there may be some fixture movement in the run in to the play offs. Â The main reason there is no match next week is the Speedway production team are also responsible for Sky's Darts coverage so they are all up in Blackpool for the World Match play hence the big advert during the Speedway coverage last night. July also happens to be the end of the budget year at Sky Sports as well and some can be rolled over if any left in the pot 🤓 Edited July 12, 2016 by flagrag
RobMcCaffery
Many thanks for the explanation, especially regarding next week. That brings back memories of when the Screen Sport speedway team also diversified into darts in the 80s. What with having worked in ice hockey too the original presenter was worried in case Dave Lanning thought he was being stalked - obviously at a much lower level though! (TV Timers weren't interested though ). Â I hope we get an even run up to the play-offs.
Noodles
For those who watch their Sky Sports speedway via Now TV.  You can get a free Now TV Sky Sports Day Pass (norm £6.99), which gives 24-hour access to the sports streaming service on any day in the next 12 months (you can use it straight away or wait) - but you have to claim it this Thursday (14 Jul). Also note, it's one pass per person  http://www.nowtv.com/promo/free-pass Edited July 14, 2016 by Noodles

gbrussell
My name is Glenn Russell and I am from Sydney Australia. I am looking for a British based contact who has access to Sky Sports Speedway Telecasts, but is not able to see the Grand Prix's and World Cup meetings as they do not have access to BT Sport. In their infinite wisdom Fox Sports in Australia decided not to show British Speedway in 2016 but are showing the GP's and SWC's. I am looking for someone in GB who might be in the opposite position to me, who would be willing to exchange DVD'S.  My email address is; Glenn.Russell54@bigpond.com  Regards and Thanks Glenn

Gresham
I got a message from EE saying they are finalising talks with BT sport. Anyone with EE will soon be able to watch BT sport for free, for 6 months using their App on phone or Ipad. Â Speedway for free doesn't sound to bad :-)
mdmc82
Why No Leicester ? Not sure. Sky always seem to avoid Leicester. I would have preferred either Coventry's home or away ones against the Lions being moved for tv Edited July 22, 2016 by mdmc82
robert72
Not sure. Sky always seem to avoid Leicester. I would have preferred either Coventry's home or away ones being moved for tv So far Sky have only shown Leicester Once at home each season, Don't think they have shown Leicester away ever, surely this cannot be right.
