jenga
always scared of a sweaty sock in a frock .
baba
Mitchell Davey in a frock...if he was wearing one of donna's it would be a mini frock and he would probably expose his conkers if he dropped his keys and bent over to pick them up. If he wore sweaty socks he have the ballerina look.

Reading Gregor Fisher's autobiography at the moment - but I can do that thanks to my superior Scottish (East Coast) education. Interesting (and troubled) childhood he had.

scotchopper
But that wouldn't be bending the rules, that would be breaking them, which is why I am sure the rule makers will enforce the rule governing 3pt PL reserves. Your club has abided by the rules, as has mine, as has every other club in the PL, every other club apart from one it seems. Don't worry I won't fill up this thread like the Edinburgh one but suffice to say you are wrong there would be no rule breaking if Mitchell got a UK passport and the number 7 racejacket. The rule states British and qualify for NL, nothing more nothing less. He would qualify as British in the same way that Matthew Wethers qualifies to race for Berwick without a visa. I just think it is an ill thought out and rushed through rule that will probably be to the detriment of some riders and many teams who will have a rider who scores hee haw every week.
Bagpuss
By the wording of the rule it appears it hasn't been broken, but its a loop hole and goes very much against the spirit of what the rule is trying to achieve. Some might even label it as winning at all costs.
TheScotsman
The so called spirit of most rules in speedway is a sick joke. I doubt there is a club in the country that doesn't or hasn't tried to find a way round them. And the averages system particularly regarding assessed averages just encourages it. Bash
And the loaning out of riders to rival teams to lower their average for the following season.
Baldyman
Is that what we did with morten bash?
Bash
If it is we aren't very good at it as Morten only lowered his average by 0.5 of a point unlike someone else who lowered his by over 2 points. Morten's average seems to fluctuate around this half point margin so proves he has reached his limit.
thebaron
One slight concern I have is the 3pointers going into turns one and two; there might be more than a few "hairy moments" if they get the idea of getting stuck in without the necessary experience. Might be fine if they get out the gate; but if they don't (and most will miss it) then if they come together on turn one two; and decide to shut their eyes and hope; it could all go pear shaped. I do not mean to underestimate the 3pointers clearly everyone has to learn sometime; and some the hard way. Theres a bit of difference between winning races in the NL and then stepping up to race at PL level. But good luck to all the guys; it will be interesting watching them go about their racing this season. mac101
Pretty sure these 3 point reserves will have no problem stepping up to the PL even think there might even be a few taking some second string and a few heat leader scalps for sure
