Right until the whistle, I thought Tai would win it... followed by Eddie Edwards and Crusty The Clown! Won't sit through that tosh again, they only featured people that I don't watch, much like the majority of stuff on the Beeb. Still want to know who counted the Briggo votes all those years ago... Don't believe the programme, and place it behind Question Of Sport for pulling power in our house.

Seriously, who actually gives a flying f*** whether speedway gets a mention or not. It's really not important, why would anyone want recognition from an organisation that protects nonces?

Woffinden was mentioned, it showed him leading a race, mentioned he had dominated the GP's and was a double world champion. Quite why Speedway fans get so uppity about this every year is beyond me...

That's my thought exactly! Just look at the sport... and people, quite grown up type, actually think speedway deserves better publicity than it is afforded. Even the rider we wanted on the damn show can't be arsed racing in the country that supposedly put speedway right up there.

Jog on my friends. It is a carboot sport, staged by men in weird jackets in dog stadiums, with buildings as offices that a portable cabins, glued together by a band on helpers (fans) that do it for love.

I don't know why people dignify SPOTY by discussing it. The whole thing is a total farce, and even though no-one would deny the visibility of speedway is very low these days, to not highlight a British World Champion of a professional sport is a total disgrace.

The BBC in general is rather a disgrace these days I regret to say.

I think the right person won it, but im lead to believe the public do not pick the top 10-12 whatever it is, which to me is pretty shameful. To me that also should go to a public vote..

Motorcycle racing of all kinds were given shoddy treatment, in line with expectations.

Johnny Rea blitzed the World Superbike championship, and even though SPOTY was being hosted in Northern Ireland where his is from, he only got a passing mention.

It will take a MotoGP champion by a British rider to get them to give more than a few seconds to any two-wheel sport in the ceremony.

It's not just bike racing that missed out. There was a British Couple who won some badminton world championship recently. First time ever that a British pair had done so. They were not even mentioned in passing.

How does Andy Murray win it?

Didnt win a slam and ok he was a big factor in the Davis Cup win but as world number 2 surely he is expected to pretty much beat everyone he plays! We won the Davis Cup because the other guys stepped up, and lets be fair he isnt even captain!

No way should Hamilton win it. Only had 1 guy to beat in a farce of a sport.

Had to be Sinfield (and im not a rugby fan) Farah or Froome

Unless the BBC cover the sport in question they are not interested

That was are first Davis Cup in about 100 years with Murray winning all his games so not hard understand how he won it .. not sure how the others step up as nearly all the points were won by him in all formats

Just to show the beebs interest in motorsport they announced today that they are cancelling their formula one contract three years early seems it will be channel four from now on.

Not really it just a case of money ..Horse Racing has gone Golf is going as well as the Lakeside Darts etc

Yea look at all of the Boxing they have shown this year .

I don't believe they were there last night, but they were a couple of years ago!!

ps. I watched the programme last night but must have blinked or nodded off before Tai was apparently mentioned?!

You're right. It was actually 2010.

Rosco tweeted an old photo last night from then and I wasn't paying attention.
