spin king
Taking out of the equation 3 point National League 3 point riders there was 78 team places in total up for grabs in the Premier League. So far 71 of those 78 have been filled. Of those 71 the riders are predominately British, Australian and Danish. 25 Brits 15 Aussies 14 Danes 5 of the Brits are riding for Sheffield. 4 of the Danes are riding for Peterborough. Berwick are the only side in the league to have named their full team with no British rider in their top 6.
DubaiTiger
Interesting stats, so with the no7s it's currently 35/36 British with a couple more to come. Must be the highest % of Brits in the Premier for a long time. With the NL mostly British and more in the Elite than used to be the case, it's looking more promising for British Speedway. I hope they keep the structure and keep pushing young British riders through it, hopefully in 3/4 years we'll see the impact at GP and World Cup level. The structure of amateur meets, Development league, National, Premier, Elite and then onto the world stage seems to be the best structure for producing British talent, certainly in the last 30 years. It may not have been planned, but at least it's got the chance of working now....

MrMungo
Spin King did mention taking the 3 pt reserves out of the equation. Seems like there's 4 clubs trying to sign a rider of a similar standard. Probably Edinburgh too. Kus, N Morris, Proctor, Fisher?

Sings4Speedway
Two places now. How so? I count Newc, P'boro, Rye & Redcar with one a piece? Plus the Edin brit reserve.
spin king
Correct discounting the British reserve at Edinburgh, only four place remaining. Newcastle and Redcar appear to be in a tug of war over Kus. Peterborough appear to waiting on Premier League fixtures and the Polish fixtures. Rye House after a middle order rider.
