"new Visa's"

Recommended Posts

Taken from Workington's Website:

When Campton last rode for the Comets in 2014 he ended the season with a 4.66 average, however having missed out on the 2015 season he is now to be classed as a new application and so must return to the UK with an average of 5.00, in accordance with the regulations agreed between the BSPA and the UK Border Agency.

So if this is the case, will Ty Proctor, Taylor Poole, Jake Allen, etc be treated the same? New application, so new 5.00 ave or as they have averages above 5, will come in on those?

Allen should be a 7.00 after all if Poole and Proctor keep their aves too?

or all 3 come in on 5's?

the 5.00 point average is the lowest average a new rider or a rider who missed the previous season can come to the uk on . if any rider has attained an average ABOVE 5.00 . he comes into the uk on the average he gained the previous season . poole, proctor. same as last year .

Allan has never ridden in the uk before and qualifies by means of gaining a top 4 place in the aussie champs LAST YEAR 2014 so his is a 5.00 .

clear as mud eh .

Meanwhile....

Nielsen 4.74

Ellis 4.67

Morris 4.53

dont have PL places.....

But Campton, Allen et al "are internationally established at the highest level of their sport and whose employment will make a significant contribution to the development and operation of their sport in the UK" as required by the UKVI rules.

But he did have a permit before as a 7 point rider which he gained by means of a top 4 place in 2014. if a new application was needed for the 5 ave visa then his qualification of the 2014 top 4 place has been used.... :o

He never got a work permit previously - as Berwick didn't proceed with it once they realised he was going to be a 7.00 rider I believe.

You bet your life it will.

I hope not, otherwise we're in trouble....

As far as I am aware Mason Campton gets back in because he won the Queensland Championship at the weekend and the rules state that they have to finish in the top 4 of their state/national championships to get a visa as of right...............

Where the 5.00 average for Jake Allen comes from I am not sure..............

I always thought that until there were no EU riders left out of the job. If you can an employ someone who doesn't need a work permit you have to employ them first. This isn't a speedway specific thing but a work permit thing.

Seems mad to me!

Technically the three riders that were mentioned are employed as they are racing in other leagues............

when chris kerr was ridding over here he was given 2 or 3 year to maintain his average it wasnt put back upto 7pts untill this period ran out or he switched to a different team not sure which was first

Chris alerts averages was NEVER reset. Which I'm sure would have been one of thing the UKV&I highlighted last winter.
