daveallan81
It's a bit of a geeky subject I know but I'm wondering if anyone recognises this piece of programme notation afforded to Keith White in heat 4 of the Birmingham Second City Trophy, 30th October 1978. FR OA EX FR = fell, remounted. EX = excluded. OA = ??? Something related to being lapped perhaps?

WembleyLion
I attended the meeting and my programme has F REM 0 (as in zero) which would mean he finished the race so I think the 0 could be zero. No idea what the A is though.

daveallan81
White is reported in the Speedway Star as being excluded. The programme marker doesn't use zero for 4th place finishes, just leaves a blank. "OA EX" is marked on White's individual scorechart. I'm thinking that White finished his 4 laps and was then deemed to have received outside assistance, hence the reported exclusion.

I've been puzzling myself about this since the request was Posted. Thank you.
