oldtimer
Season tickets are only good for those who don't go away on holiday, as most save two or three admissions. Somerset is keeping admission prices the same as last year, so well done them.

bigeddiechek
Bandits prices unchanged. Good to see they are still going with kinds under 16 free. Personally, I think it is very important in terms of encouraging the next generation of fans.Interestingly, the are also offering speedway for under £25 a month. That's a new one on me. Looks great! http://berwickbandits.co/

Looks great! http://berwickbandits.co/ Think you described that incorrectly. It does not work out as £25 per month, it as an easy payment scheme of £25 for 8 months, which is to be commended in letting fans spread the load. The cost of attending speedway depends on how many meetings you attend, the saving is £1.67 per meeting if you buy as season ticket, irrespective of how you pay for it, based on 15 meetings. A good saving if you are on a tight budget and attend all 15 meetings, miss 2 meetings you will be out of pocket.

Thus, you get speedway for that monthly amount. It's not rocket surgery! I'm sure everyone is able to work out that if they are likely to miss meetings then season tickets might not be for them. Sigh.

If you pay over a 12 month period, you get speedway for less than £17 (£16.66) per month. At the end of the day you still pay the same amount £200. As you say 'Not rocket science'. Black Angus
Other than Berwick, which tracks offer all kids up to 16 free, every meeting, every week?

OK, I'll make it a bit clearer for you: it's not so much cost saving as smoothing the cashflow. I know some football clubs offer something similar. It will work for some people, I guess, good to see the club are still trying new ideas. As Black Angus says, it is also great to see the commitment to the younger fans continuing. On a final point, I didn't say "Rocket Science", I said rocket surgery. Two very different things

Two very different things I had said, an easy payment plan was a good idea for those who's finances are stretched, and is welcome. It does not however make it cheaper, it is still £200 for 15 meetings. Much better to describe something accurately, and not create a spin on it. It reminded me of the caravan sales pitch or a time share pitch. ' For just 120 payments you can own this caravan'. You would be paying for it for 10 YEARS Oh, and yes, it is good to offer a good deal for the young fans, they are getting a scarce resource in speedway nowadays. Yes, but where did I say it was cheaper? You live in your own wee world and read whatever the voices in your head are saying, it would appear. Please feel free to correct me and quote where I say it is cheaper.

You live in your own wee world and read whatever the voices in your head are saying, it would appear. Please feel free to correct me and quote where I say it is cheaper. I did not say 'YOU' said it was cheaper, 'I SAID', it was not cheaper but was the same price in what ever permatation is put on it. However by putting a 'Spin' on it by saying speedway at Berwick for less than £25 a month, implies that it is. But I suppose I will have to bow to the UKs No1 interlect, and head spin merchant for the region, that is the great 'LAST WORD EDDIE'

Not quite sure how simply that can be put? Certainly not spin, and surely can't be a bad thing to offer alternative ways to pay for season tickets? Deary me.
