george.m
Hear Edinburgh are trying a new scheme next year. Paying fans £15 to attend.
TheScotsman
So it will be £21 to watch PL speedway in a seat at Glasgow with a programme! What a rip off!! I'm sure the locals will be queuing up to pay that when their team are rattling up 60+ scores every match ; winning every competition they enter (except the Spring Trophy) ; especially in the sub-Sahara microclimate of Ashfield.
damosuzuki
hopefully the one pound idea is canned. The max I would think that could make is about 400 pounds and usually less. I'd i,magine the standing areas will be mobbed initially at least. It's a crap idea.
penchev
I was going to make this specific to Glasgow, having just seen it on the website. But might be better to all comers. Season ticket adult works out @ £15 a match. However the rest of the prices are as follows: Individual match ticket £17.50 Seat in stand, additional £1.00 (all matches ??) Programme £2.50 (unchanged) Concessions £13.50 Extortionate price for premier league speedway, but got to get some cash back from their investment. Riders will know Glasgow have money and will bang on the drum accordingly. Anything to win the league.

Fromafar
Smart idea to tie fans into a season ticket, horrendous idea to attract any new supporters.Have to agree, any new support might be offset by the neutral speedway fans giving it a miss.Interesting overpriced IMO . baba
Its more than just a speedway meeting these days. It is a gala day a great occasion and considering the improvements and team this year we should sook it up hopefully next year we see no more hikes. If they include a scoresheet then its all good. Shadders
Newport used to charge 50p to sit in the grandstand. Pretty sure they ditched that idea a couple of years before they closed down. Last time I was at Kings Lynn (in their PL days) a large metal stand was assembled next to the pits on the home straight with a £1 charge to sit on. Don't recall many taking that option up.

TheScotsman
Bl**dy hell that looks expensive all round. Must be worth getting the Premium Experience though to get the cushion. Will it have your name on it and do you get to take it home? If not, and if it is a used one, can you ask that it's not one that was previously used by a Celtic season ticket holder? Oh yes - missed the parking charges. Does one of the local youths 'look after your car mister' for that?

baba
There is extensive work being carried out as we speak to enhance the ashfield experience. If fans are smart about it then there is options to get in for 15.50 odd. So harcore fans get your ass in gear to get these options working for you. But 17.50 for entry alone is justified imo. SharpenRake
The mistake they made after all the work that was carried out was to reduce it to 15.00 last season, If it had been left at 16.00 plus a 1.00 increase i think would have been accepted. But as Scotsman said good riders can be expensive as Edinburgh have found to their cost if it was not for the Fans Trust and the Workington owner to help[.In their own words we could close ] I agree with Manse re-last season. don't see how the £1 for the stand will work. will they give you a wrist band or ticket to get back to your seat so you can go for a pint? what happens when you get back and find someone is sitting in it after all its not as if they are bucket seats basically just a wooden bench. if people boycott it where will these people c400 stand?
