Grachan
Just for the record, this is taken from here: http://www.border.gov.au/forms/Documents/118.pdf "Application for Australian citizenship by descent - Step 1 – Eligibility If you were born outside Australia on or after 26 January 1949, you may be eligible for Australian citizenship by descent if at least one person who was your parent at the time of your birth was also an Australian citizen at the time of your birth. If your Australian citizen parent was a citizen by descent or full Hague adoption, then that parent must have spent at least 2 years in Australia before you make your application"
BWitcher
So Tai Woffinden doesn't fit that criteria. As I think you've mentioned earlier Grachan.. If, as is claimed by speedibee, Woffinden has dual nationality, why does he need a visa?
B.V 72
And if you don't pay admission money to go in to Belle Vue you may never see live speedway again, no one forces you, You have missed my point its not about B T sport or money its about the fact that after next year at Belle vue unless i travel to Cardiff there is a good chance i my never see our patriotic British world champion ride again unless i see him on tv.I know there are a lot of other riders i may not see again but they are not British. Question whats the difference between Tai Woffinden and an Australian. Answer Most Australians are loyal to British speedway. The SGP is available to watch on live TV, in much the same way live speedway is available at Belle Vue on a Monday or a few pints are available in your local. It is entirely your choice as the whether to avail yourself of any option. You are not forced to do any. If the service is of interest to you at a price you are prepared to pay the buy it, if not don't

Conkers in Gravy
I wonder if all the people who insist Woffinden "feels Australian" have ever bothered to ask him. The only one on here I'm certain will have spoken to him is Phil Rising and he has said a couple of times that Tai has said he is happy to be British and proud to represent Britain.
