Nl 3 Point Riders In Pl

Recommended Posts

What are the rules regarding the replacement of injured 3 point reserves?

I assume mid way through the season if a team has spare points to pay with they can't replace the 3 point reserve with a rider of a higher average.

If the 3 point reserve achieves a greensheet average of say 4.5, can he be replaced by any rider under his average.

these things will be sorted out as they crop up no doubt ,Promotions will interpretate it differently no doubt, some will get away with it some won't.

The replacement will have to be NL eligible, presumably up to the average of the rider being replaced.

I'd imagine the replacement would have to be on a 3.00 average aswell and would have to be eligible at the start of the season for the #7 position.

If not, there's nothing to say Glasgow (just using them as an example as they have named their reserve already) couldn't replace Danny Ayres mid-season on a 3.5 odd average and replace him with Rob Branford.

I wouldn't have a problem with that personally, but if Rob isn't eligible at the start of the season, how can he suddenly be eligible after the season starts?

Is Rye house`s not Ben morley?

That would leave 5 riders left to be added with what i would think a list of main 7 contenders are

Oliver Greenwood - Somerset?/Edinburgh

Dan Greenwood

Zak Wajk

Luke Crang?

Ellis Perks - Somerset/Edinburgh/newcastle

James Shanes - Plymouth?

Dan Spiller?

Also several other possibly of Ryan Blacklock, Tom Stokes, Danny Halsey?, Marc Owen, Ben Hopwood, Benji Compton?? who i would assume become the reserve list to cover injuries

***I see Alan replied with Ben as i was typing!!***

I cant see Spiller, Perks or Crang (retired) being involved.

Personally I predict:

Plymouth - Shanes

Somerset - Waj

Edinburgh - D.Greenwood

Newcastle - O.Greenwood / Blacklock

Scunthorpe - AN Other / Bailey / Phillips

But I have been way off before.

Olly has signed for Buxton, a fellow Sunday track, so he won't be at Newcastle.
