Shockster
ok so tickets have arrived, but cant decide where to book a hotel need one that offers parking as will prob want a few drinks prior to the race meetings. It looks like parking in manchester city centre is limited so im looking at salford quays, stockport, didsbury oldham etc, which area would be best? is there a particular pub/bar that everyone meets up in as its always nice to meet up with fellow speedway fans? I'm booked into Upper Brook St. Travelodge about a mile from centre of Manchester and about a mile from the track and it has a car park. About £50 a night for the room. Of the areas you mention I would go for Stockport, it's nearer to BV than the others, Heaton Moor is ideal if you can find anywhere, will cost less than a tenner in a taxi to the stadium and is decent enough for a drink and a bite to eat, Don't know about availability or budget but this place is logistically perfect, less than 4miles from track. https://www.innkeeperslodge.com/stockport-heaton-chapel/ btw, this isn't trip advisor and I've never stayed there, just in case I'm booked into Upper Brook St. Travelodge about a mile from centre of Manchester and about a mile from the track and it has a car park. About £50 a night for the room. That is also ideally located for the track, not so much available around it but as you say it's only a mile or so to town. Ghostwalker
For Sweden I think the four riders in the lineup in Västervik will be, Jonsson, Lindbäck, Lindgren and Ljung with Joel Andersson as the U21 reserve. Ljung have been riding for Västervik for many many years and he should know the track very well.

customhouseregular
Does anyone know if the Speedway Star SWC issue is going to be a larger than usual edition, and will it go to press with the teams for the race off having been included?. screm
Does anyone know if the Speedway Star SWC issue is going to be a larger than usual edition, and will it go to press with the teams for the race off having been included?. Sure Phillip Rising will be able to answer you, though on the teams I don`t know there is any time where you need to declare your team, meaning it would almost impossible for speedway Star to publish the teams. I think he is asking if it`s going to print after the round 2 match on Tuesday evening- normally it goes to print Tuesday afternoon. can`t for the life of me what difference it will make !! - because the riders for the race-off won`t be known until Friday afternoon. customhouseregular
Makes no difference at all really. As Bernard Bresslaw used to say in The Army Game..."I only asked". N.B. You have to be the wrong side of 60 to have a clue what I'm talking about.
