A ORLOV
I seem to remember watching Jason Crump sitting in the pits while a mechanic dropped a spanner in front of him,Jason was catching it between his hands as it dropped.Dont see anyone doing that now, must have helped him! Remember a few of riders at Swindon doing the same, one could have been Jason.

Woz01
Lambert is the real deal. His 3 points were scant reward for his efforts. Rather lambert than Fricke any day. Not sure I would but I'm sure both will be at the top of the sport in the years to come
colin wood
Talking of fast reactions I've got a mate who's very tight and always the last one to get a round in.He dropped a tenner once and it hit him on the head!
TheReturn
I was away for the weekend and just caught up with the final last night... wow, what fantastic and amazing racing, only spoiled by Pearson shouting 'woooh' every other race. Well done Team GB, they looked out of it mid way, then by the last four races they were in with a real chance of taking it. Hopefully this will be the start of Team GB moving forward. tyler42
Fantastic effort to get 2nd, when I was one of many doubters who thought we would be in the final just to make up the numbers. The proof in the pudding will be next year, when we will have to qualify and progress to the semi final and then on to the final. If we can achieve that, then maybe our fortunes as a international speedway nation will be turning a corner.

We should make the Race-Off but getting to the Final will be a tough job.
topsoil
Has the venue(s) for next year been confirmed? Any ideas where it could be?
tarkens
Host countries since 2001: Â PolandUK Denmark UK Poland Denmark Poland Denmark Poland Denmark Poland Sweden Czech Rep Poland Denmark UK Â Looks to me like it's our turn since the last two were in Denmark and the UK. Seems like this is the pattern lately: Poland, xx, xx, Poland, xx, xx

james1234
I thought Gorzow have got it in 2019 so maybe Sweden next year?
tarkens
I think it's more likely to have Poland organising it in 2017 AND 2019 rather than not organising it 4 years in a row, so my guess would be Poland 2017 (possibly Wroclaw), Sweden or Denmark 2018 and Poland 2019 (Gorzow)
OveFundinFan
I'm all for giving recognised speedway nations a go at the final, but with the system as it is where the host nation go straight to the final I wouldnt like to see it go to Latvia, Croatia, Slovakia, Italy or even Czech and Germany. I would say its Sweden next, then Poland, Denmark and then uk again.
tarkens
Like JasonFalcons said, SWC 2019 will be in Gorzow - http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/4495/, so definitely not Denmark in 2019 and most likely not Poland in 2018 since we never had any country hosting SWC two years in a row

Mark
If the SWC is to have the host nation seeded to the final that host country MUST be worth their place in that final. Having a 3 team final would be a farce. It could be argued GB didn't deserve a place in 2016 but we have the world champion and got a silver. Can't see CZ, Germany, Latvia doing the same.
