A ORLOV
Fantastic meeting and well done to Poland on the win, team GB did us proud with silver. Now getting ready for the long drive back to Poole. Thought the ref made a few mess up's last night if you follow the rules in the programme - only 1 tac and 1 joker permitted per team - Aussie ht 12 Masters replaced Josh then heat 15 Holder replaced Josh with Doyle on a joker in heat 16, so I make that 3!! No tacs permitted between seats 17-20 - Sweden make a late change and Put Freddie in ht 19 as a tac in place of Antonio. Would agree re the ref, there was definitely one brilliant start which was ok but was called back
topsoil
one of your earlier posts suggests that Wolves is a better track, last night proved that you were wrong to make judgement on the NSS on 1 poor meeting that was spoiled by earlier bad weather, something we have all seen at tracks world wide. I have no desire to make an issue out of this so lets call it quits. Speaking as a neutral, there is no way in the world Wolverhampton is a better track than the NSS, numerous British Finals before this year have shown that. I just wonder how many re-runs for first bend incidents we would have had if the World Cup had been held at Wolverhampton. Wish everybody would click ignore on that idiot tr3mm0r like ive done that way i wouldnt have to see the weirdo or his bile and for the love of god stop quoting it! I'm not ignoring him / her because I want to see what he / she is writing, just don't rise to it, that's what he / she feeds off.
Derwent
i also seen that and was wondering, he was shaking his head and was in a right strop, disgrace to his country if he was unhappy to go in as a tac sub. I think Holder was just miffed that Lemon was making a mistake, as it should have been a TS joker ride no matter if it was him or Doyle doing it. Bagpuss
The rules in the programme say that tactical rides aren't permitted in heats 17-20 yet Freddie replaced Lindback in heat 19. BSI cock up?
scaramanga
1 thing is for sure the new belle vue track can when prepaired right be a good track not something we heard said about the old track there was some hard ridding last night but regardless if its hard fast or slow when you have somany changes in positions during 4 laps its entertainment and thats what gets people to pay there money and go watch live speedway maybe more british clubs should look to build bigger tracks
OveFundinFan
Fridays meeting has been referred to as favouring the "rocket ships", referring to engine tuning. Track record broke a few times and ended 2 seconds lower then when Fridays meeting started. Last nights meeting someone said times were a lot slower, but the racing in the 20 heat heat final was fantastic. That just proves you dont need to spend thousands of pounds with engine tuners to get exciting racing. I doubt the lesson will be learned that close exciting racing can be had without spending the money. I would like to see a return to the bikes of the 70's, 4 valve uprights that were more rideable.
NickRushbrook
I'm stunned that anyone actually believes that this tr3mmor or whoever is really Polish! Â Good work lad! Â On the positive side it's great to wake up this morning with a lot of pride restored to British speedway. World number 2's is an amazing achievement and hopefully we can push on and consolidate ourselves as a force once again.
mdmc82
The rules in the programme say that tactical rides aren't permitted in heats 17-20 yet Freddie replaced Lindback in heat 19. BSI cock up? In the end it was more of a cock up on Sweden's part as Lindgren was very poor in the race and beaten by King & KK. Once I heard he would be the rider with the responsibility of trying to win Silver for them, I knew GB had it in the bag. Agrotron
I have never been known as a high speaker of Tai but I think he did everything good last night thought turning up in the suit was great looked very smart, his attitude was good and went up in my estimation last night. Â Â Â Australia though how poor, Lemo made a big fk up imo not letting Kurtz ride and putting Josh in, did anyone notice Holders attitude in his tactical ride was shaking his head something he was not impressed with?

Last night proved it  Its not the size of the circuit, its the quality of the surface that counts. Plymouth is tiny but, prepared properly, its one of the best. speedibee
Some fabulous racing, but . . . . Â Joker wins silver medal never mind . give mardy arse Doyle an excuse to claim Australia were robbed and slag our team off a bit more .. he needs reminding ,where he's been earning a living for the last 15 years years , and show a bit of gratitude
tellboy
Well after getting a few hours sleep i woke up smiling thinking of what a tremendous night again for team GB last night.I really thought we were the favourites for 4th place,so getting 2nd was like a win for me.Hopefully the queen will remember this in her honours list Racing was superb, track is lovely especially being compared to the one next door, stadium excellent.Hopefully many big events being held there in the future(and King's Lynn ). Few gripes PA system on 3rd bend couldn't hear it,had to stand to see 4th bend action, programme £10 same as Cardiff with nowhere near as much content should have been £5. RobMcCaffery
I'm stunned that anyone actually believes that this tr3mmor or whoever is really Polish! Â Perhaps it's due to the total absence of any evidence to the contrary or are we all supposed to rely on blind guesswork, oh insightful one? Â Someone claims he/she/it has a Sheffield ip address. I do believe that there are one or two Poles based in the UK these days. Â It may be some sad British moron who thinks it clever to annoy people but it's pretty irrelevant - unless you're trying to sound amazingly insightful. Â I rejected that kind of behaviour even before I left the playground behind.
keepturningleft
Positioned at the very top of the temporary stand, I settled down for heat one and watched as Fido and Rex battled it out with Jet coming in third, until my wife pointed out that I was facing the wrong way and was in fact watching the dog racing at the old stadium. Â Seriously though, with panoramic views of both stadia, the contrast couldn't have been more amazing. What an achievement the new stadium is. What a track! What a night!

Saturday proved that the NSS can provide as good a race meeting as anywhere. Australia was rubbish. Masters and Josh G awful. Masters won a race! So wasn't awful. Â The rules in the programme say that tactical rides aren't permitted in heats 17-20 yet Freddie replaced Lindback in heat 19. BSI cock up? Double points aren't allowed in nominated heats. Russia used Emil in heat 17 in Denmark. Tactical subs are allowed if 6 behind. Edited July 31, 2016 by stevebrum

Phil The Ace
WOW. Last night's SWC was frigging awesome. TAI lead from the front. DANNY KING was superb after a nervous start  CRAIG COOK was unlucky early on but then brilliant when under pressure that guy handles pressure well  LAMBERT battled all night. Sometimes we forgot he's only 18 years old.  ROSCO managed the team brilliantly. And the proud look on his face was for all to see. Lovely pictures with him and his family.  The aces track aswell was a credit to all. Friday was dull as dishwater. And I was a little worried saturday could be similar but soon as I stepped foot in the stadium last night and saw the track I new we were in for a ride. And my good we got that. Best meeting I have ever been to. Fantastic stuff. And it wasn't just the racing. The atmosphere was great. Could have been better if we was allowed air horns was. The meeting ran smoothly and there was no problems with what I could see.  I'm still of the opinion that all riders should have practiced but I'm glad tai shoved my statement down my throat. Proved tonight he is the best rider in the world.  Anyway. Let's hope for more big meetings. I'm sure the FIM loved last night. So there is every chance of another big meeting next year. Maybe the GP challenge.
fullbore
Lots of people on social media complaining about air horns being taken off them Quite rightly, the tickets clearly state- Â "Air hoens with a flammable content are prohibited inside the stadium. Non flammable air horns are available from the official merchandise outlets." Â So why were security preventing people taking in non flammable air horns when these weren't prohibited? Â Who is responsible for this total contradiction- FIM, BS!, NSS or the Belle Vue club? Â Niamh

There is clearly a reason for the ban but it makes a mockery when they are allowed in other arenas (noise pollution exempt).
