King's Lynn Young Stars 2016

Not seen any official confirmation but assuming the Young Stars will be on track for 2016.

Really enjoyed watching the continued development of the team, especially Tom Stokes (7.10), Josh Bailey (6.02) and Ryan Kinsley (5.13). Hopefully they're the first three names on next year's team sheet.

I think Layne Cupitt is having some rides in Australia over the winter so hopefully that will see him develop further and would slot back in nicely on a 3.00pt average.

The only disappointment was missing out on the signing of Jack Thomas. Would have been another promising local lad to add to the asset list.

So Lynn have captured the signature of Nathan Greaves:

Great signing, sorry to see Nathan leave Cradley. He is at least a point and a half better than his average shows even at this stage so should have a good season with the Young Stars

Hope he can stay free of injury

Yeah, sorry to see Nathan go after an injury hit season with first the wrist then the leg injury. Shame as I'd like to have seen him leave, if at all, on a high having had a really good, progressive season. Still, I think it's a move that will suit Nathan down to the ground. It's a track I think he can thrive on and he should kick on next season and put a point on his start average. He was just starting to find something like his best form with his final average creeping back up to just over 7. I'm sure he'd have been over 8 by the end of season if fully fit.

Best wishes to Nathan - I just hope you've completely forgotten how to ride Monmore.:P

Why do Lynn constantly sign campos he's rubbish and never improves enough considering been riding for Lynn for ages

Ive been saying this for years. I just do not see how Campos has had such a long NL career. Probably just had his best season for a while and that was pretty average. Signing a near identical team just looks lazy?

Stokes, Bailey, Kinsley & Cupitt all deserve another year but some new blood would have freshened up the team nicely.

Campos will do a job for the team. He's of course not the kind of exciting prospect many of the younger riders are but they can't all be that. Every club and every level needs riders who just turn up and do a solid if unspectacular job for the team.

Greaves has had a lot of falls but not too many crashes - if you see the distinction. Last season's badly broken leg was by far his worst injury of a short career to date. Let's hope it's the last bad one for him and he rebuilds and kicks on in 2016 - apart from at Monmore, obviously. :P
