Midland Red
Isn't this one of the developments close to the stadium? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7213307/Swindon-homeowner-claims-400-faults-Linden-Homes-property.html
martinmauger
New houses popping up all over Hull including some being built on a former flood plain, which is well below the majority of the area with 2 storm drains filled in, and the foundations are already 2ft underwater. I certainly wouldn't buy one of those houses, just sayin'....

Triple.H.
No doubt someone in authority will claim the vibration caused by speedway bikes and dogs running has caused all the problems 2

A ORLOV
I see that a new set of plans have been submitted in July. The stands and pits are shown on the north side of the stadium between the track and Lady Lane. https://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=P23E0APTKAM00 Edited August 29, 2019 by A ORLOV

hagonshocker
To be honest there doesn't appear to be too much objection locally seems to to be a Somerset anti greyhound group .apparently new stands are going in at the end of this season

They all go on to say they support the redevelopment for speedway purposes, but we know it's housing/greyhound stadium owner money funding the changes if they ever materialise

This has more twists than an M. Night Shyamalan film. Interestingly, the status is still marked as "Unknown" despite claims it has been approved and if you read the two emails from Janet Busby (Swindon council's senior planning officer) it sounds far from a done deal. Presumably these new plans are materially different that new planning permission will need to be granted anyway?

Steve Shovlar
Where’s the parking? Car park would be full an hour before the start. Overflow car park?

For a meeting against Poole, Wimborne Road Poole There is an extra car park proposed, plus parking in the town centre and bus travel, so most will likely use the housing estate around the stadium Edited August 31, 2019 by A ORLOV
