keef robin
Latest report in the local paper about the stadium stating that it can be built in a matter of weeks and that many of the bits needed are stored in South Wales and just need bolting together. The delays are down to technical drainage issues. I am unable to copy the article across to this post at the moment. Was that a pig I just saw flying past the window ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We hear so many different stories people don't believe them, and its best to say won't be a new stadium.
A ORLOV
We hear so many different stories people don't believe them, and its best to say won't be a new stadium. Tend to agree and those at Poole should start wondering the same.

Steve Shovlar
Poole stadium owned by Poole council, not these bunch of chancers.
teaboy279
Have been hearing about this prefab stadium for a while now, I can accept that a metal stadium could be bolted together quite quickly. But surely the longer you can have a speedway track laid the better it bed in?
A ORLOV
Poole stadium owned by Poole council, not these bunch of chancers. Agreed but the Council are looking to them to carry out the "improvements", so just be wary.

hagonshocker
One of Clark Osbournes company's listed on Company's House is called Poole Stadium limited or something of that ilk
steve roberts
One of Clark Osbournes company's listed on Company's House is called Poole Stadium limited or something of that ilk ...sounds ominous!
Sotonian
One of Clark Osbournes company's listed on Company's House is called Poole Stadium limited or something of that ilk Doesn't mean jack, he still doesn't own the stadium. I could open a company tomorrow called, for example, NewPooleStadium Ltd but it wouldn't mean I was going to do anything about building it. Grachan
As half the stadium has apparently been built and is being stored in deepest Wales it would be nice to see a picture of it to back up the claim.

Yeah well if I was you I wouldn't trust the alliance between The Council and Stadia UK whether you think it means 'jack' or not especially with talk of a proposed housing development in the pipeline....And some of you really don't get what this guy is all about either so don't say you haven't been warned.... As half the stadium has apparently been built and is being stored in deepest Wales it would be nice to see a picture of it to back up the claim.Yeah it would wouldn't it? Obviously can't get his hands on a camera phone
Catalan
And with probably the most inept council in my lifetime I have to agree.

keef robin
I've heard the new stadium is stored in Denmark at Legoland
Ommer Mon
Not sure you can call Dudley Council inept. They are very good at what they do, which is preventing the Heathens getting anywhere near the Borough. Never understood why, Dudley has few redeeming features! Edit article now available http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/15248161.Robins_stadium_owners_frustrated_by_delays/?ref=mr&lp=6 I'm just waiting for the story that they've decided not to build a stadium, but to build a Racino instead, which will of course take longer, need more planning, oh and then an additional financial backer. Poole stadium owned by Poole council, not these bunch of chancers. Smallmead wasn't owned by GI either, neither was the land they were going to build the new stadium on. Whenever GI start implying they're going to improve or build a new stadium I'd be concerned. Not that they have form or anything!!!

racers and royals
Think you'll find they bought Smallmead from Allied Promotions in 2002. What Wackie meant was that GL had a short term lease on the land from Reading Borough council- and that RBC also owned the land where the new stadium was planned for. At what stage prudential purchased Smallmead I`m not quite sure of the timescale.
