foamfence
I thought the new track impinges on the old track? How will that work mid-season? "Mid season" Your optimism does you credit.
A ORLOV
I thought the new track impinges on the old track? How will that work mid-season? Unless they have moved the position of the new one it does, so cannot see a mid season move. Edited January 23, 2016 by A ORLOV

New Science
And to think I believed Terry Russell when he said its a 5 month build ,can't believe the negativity,it will be ready in March !
steve roberts
What a Public Relations disaster...but I shouldn't be surprised knowing that Clark Osbourne is involved knowing his involvement over the proposed sale of Cowley Stadium way back in 1975! Surely the correct way of going about things was making sure that planning issues had been obtained and cleared before making announcements regarding completion of work and a proposed opening date and running a 'Farewell Meeting' of all things? R87
Regardless of whether the stadium is built or not, the whole thing is a Pr disaster which has done neither the council officers or Swindon Speedway much good at all. A ORLOV
Plan and location of the new stadium http://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/files/098847815F3A1E8D23E070EF38FF150C/pdf/S_RES_16_0036-LOCATION_PLAN-516266.pdf Which is part of this http://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=O0L5L7PTG2I00 As stated before if you look at the plan it shows the overlap with the present stadium, so not sure how they are going to build the outside of bend 4 and the dog track during the season. A ORLOV
This may be normal for planning issues, but there are issues re the amount of parking spaces and movement of vehicles and people at the proposed stadium. http://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/files/6F0CA6A306087CFDB17CE9C15A5B8D83/pdf/S_RES_16_0036-HIGHWAYS_COMMENTS_-_26-02-16-523462.pdf

This will allow youngsters to learn about bike mechanics and animal husbandry." So in future there will be some well maintained bikes and some well pampered Robins then? This will allow youngsters to learn about bike mechanics and animal husbandry." So in future there will be some well maintained bikes and some well pampered Robins then? That is the training of the riders to look after animals for food, not sure if that includes the greyhounds that will be at the track, although the snack bar does sell hot dogs! Gemini
Probably. Thousands of Greyhounds mysteriously disappear every year when they are either too old to race anymore or aren't good enough.

van wolfswinkel
Quite a few humans have disappeared having entered the back straight bogs at Blunsdon too And Lord Lucan was probably the most famous. And never take your pet dog with you to a Vietnamese restaurant... I will try not to...anyway don't think he would be allowed to travel to Vietnam he hates flying anyway.
