steve roberts
I started this thread back in 2015 but I've lost track as to why there was a need to re-locate the stadium?

Another year then go's by and people lose even more interest before they find another reason next year . Rossiter says they've had no contact, have they contacted them or tried at least? Why don't they make a big thing about it in the local media etc?

Racin Jason 72
How come it’s open 5 days a week during construction for greyhound racing yet speedway can’t return til building is completed. Why can’t the stadium be closed on the back straight while the new stand is erected. Once that is up and running then you could close the other half of the stadium and demolish the old stand. it’s not difficult

Ovalman
Fans will lose interest if closed for another year..not good news for those fanatical Robins fans. Speedway is going down the pan in this country, clubs folding, fan numbers down Just Cardiff GP for me next year. IronScorpion
They have still got 6 months to bulldoze the old stadium & level it to a degree to make it safe while putting together the new(ish) portacabins/building blocks for the opposite side with starting gates & referees box. The track is still untouched so will only need remedial work.

IronScorpion
Building new housing estates still occurs during winter, probably in Swindon too.
