SPEEDWAY PORTAL are pleased to announce that former Poole Speedway Media PR manager Gordon Day has agreed to joining the ever expanding portal roster.

He joins the portal in an advisory capacity providing an experienced back up to the company’s efforts to take the sport forward.

“It’s an exciting new challenge” he said. “I am eagerly looking forward to working alongside Andy, Paul, and the rest of the SPEEDWAY PORTAL team. “It’s fantastic to welcome Gordon on board“ said Andy. "Along with his enthusiasm and guidance , his speedway knowledge will add a great deal of detail to our product."

So millions of pounds over a five-year period should be dismissed just so we can watch Clean Cut and Rerun. Interesting.

Of course not, that's not what I said! I was pointing out that the deal wasn't perfect.

I really do question the motives of people who make this kind of posting, completely disregarding the point being made. Despite the money (wasted in the vast majority of cases) there IS a downside to Go Speed's involvement, the strangulation of distribution of speedway clips on social media being a huge one. It's not all back & white!

You can point out something's deficiencies without the ridiculous conclusion you chose to make.

The money that Sky pay is for exclusive rights as I understand....by restricting online clips from anyone but Sky, Go Speed are looking out for B.S.P.A with regards to their contractual obligations.

Many thought that Speedway would be lost to our screens last time around....British Speedway wasn't exactly in the best negotiating position with regards to these rights I'd imagine, and that would have been the same with or without Go Speed's involvement. But going on what I've read from people that should know, without their involvement there would not be Speedway on Sky

Hey guys, just an update from us here at the portal. In the last few days the following have been added to the Website Portal :

SWC - 2015/2014/2013/2012/2011/ 2 rounds of 2010.

WORLD FINALS - Footage from most of the years going back to 1949.

The GP section is now being constructed and will take time to be added due to the shear amount of content. This will start from 1995 at the bottom upwards so please bare with us as it will take some time.

Just a note for anyone who is interested, all of these videos are embeddable links to videos on either YouTube or Vimeo. Speedway Portal has not uploaded any of this content to the site. Any content uploaded by us has either been produced by us, or we have been given permission to include within the Portal from the copyright owners themselves. Embedding YouTube or Vimeo videos that are able to be shared within their framing technology is NOT against the law, or an infringement of copyright within the EU.

YouTube and Vimeo links are only a part of what Speedway Portal currently offer, and in time more and more original and new footage will be added from our production team and our partners.

Many thanks.

Andy
