Guest
Can any member please confirm the years - probably late 1940s onwards - that Victor Boston promoted his meetings in France and when his promotions ended? Bavarian
He began with speedway (Dirt track) and stunt shows à la Putt Mossman in the early/mid 1930s
Grand Central
I have a very faint memory of my first trip abroad in 1968 - as late as that - when I was taken to a couple of Victor Boston meetings. I can just about summon up a recollection of the old man, his wife Lola and their son Claud. Most is lost in the mists of time .... but I remember an old tattered poster that adorned my childhood bedroom wall emblazoned with "BOSTONS DIRT TRACK RODEO MOTOCYCLISTE". Guest
In 1947, Victor Boston was involved in speedway promotion at the Buffalo Stadium, in Paris. This included arranging a series of international match races between French and Italian riders in 1947, when they took part in support events to meetings featuring British midget car drivers. http://midgetcarpanorama.proboards.com/thread/581/buffalo-stadium-paris-1947 Edited November 12, 2015 by Guest
Guest
As mentioned the meetings also featured speedway races and are cross-identified atwww.internationalspeedway.co.uk/franbuff.htm where the actual meeting dates are given.
