SteveLyric2
the draft is not going to be a draft anymore now the riders arent protected at reserve polish league reserves are still protected pawlicki was still riding at reserve last year , this season we will see promoters fudging the rules again when the brit reserves have a 'bad run of form' they will end up being replaced by foreigners You are talking out of your satchell!! The reserves WERE protected if their respective clubs chose to do so eg Newman, Sarjeant, Kerr, Auty etc.
g13webb
What make the Draft System and Protected Heats so ridiculous, is that now, we have 3 set of averages relating to various team positions, but also we are informed that after 4 meetings the drafts can be elevated into the team proper, according to their CMA's, and the reserves can be filled with poor foreign riders. Isn't that the complete opposite to the reason why the Draft was invented in the first place......... To do away with poor foreign imports and give the young British the opportunity..... What's going to happen next year???? Will Newman, Kerr, Auty, Garrity etc., still be classed as Draft riders?? Will they be adjudged on their PL aver or will it be BEL ?? God what a mess !!!!! A comprehensive set of rules covering draft riders in 2016 are conspicuous by their absence. This suggests to me that they are still under considerations. Now the brains on the internet have pointed out the obvious flaws in draft riders "moving up" I wouldn't be surprised to see some back tracking in what's been announced. Yes, there's sure to be changes now that Fat Maude has had a chance to study the rules agreed. There seems to be some debate whether it was agreed that both 6 & & 7 riders would get assessed averages after 4 rides, some say it will be only the no 6 rider. Also, what average will the no 7 rider come in on, previously there was no assessed average below 3 & some of the riders would have an assessed PL average lower than 3. Some of the proposed riders would have an assessed PL average of over 4 & could mean that teams lose over 7 points for the reserves out of the proposed team limit. heathen chemistry
i believe they deliberately make it complicated so in the future they can manipulate it to their own ends as and when needed

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
he has to go for it this year, .... or he will be sacked ford already said he wants him to improve and stay in the top 5 , if he doesnt ,can see him being replaced by jolly foreigner on fake low average surely if any draft rider is 'sacked' they would have to be replaced by another draft rider and not a foreigner.....
TMW
WHAT, you are joking. How the hell they didn't pick him is a mystery. Leicester don't have many lower order assets to protect so maybe it was to help Leicester out and they were allowed to have Howarth in return. It will be interesting to see how they deal with injuries this season as last season Leicester had to take Payne to Poole and as he only rode the few measly meetings in the NL obviously was nowhere near ready to guest in the EL. They should have gone for a kind of jobshare for the no. 7's !!!!!
Islander15
Next season's averages will be calculated every 4 matches for all riders. So how does that work if, for example, King's Lynn's 4th meeting is away on a Monday and then have a home meeting on Wednesday but they had to declare their line-up to the away team 5 days (or whatever the actual number is) prior. But then the averages change, so would the riding order also change?

DunRobin
This season's changes to the reserves is pure madness. Kyle Howarth who had an EL green sheet average of 5.53 riding in the 1 - 5 will presumably start the season at reserve for Wolves with a 4.19 assessed PL average. This lot couldn't run a local kid's football league.

On what did they vote tactically?

SteveLyric2
More importantly only one of the EL promoters are against the 'Shared Number 1' concept, due to currently being in discussion with a potential number 1 rider for a full season. Should come in to being for 2017!! Finally!!

Some of them may be honest and admit the money isn't good enough.
