B.V 72
Shame that Poole don't value Bjarne's services anymore ....... club legend and all! Think the heat leader list would have put the mockers on any thought of signing Bjarne as he was on the list with an average of 6.55 where as Buzz on a 6.48 average is not. Woz01
Polish fixtures now changed and all of Bjarnes is on a Sunday so no fixtures clashes. I'm sure he may get an offer or two after the first set of averages come out.
foreverblue
By whom.. Really, i think your just making things up just to make yourself look good.. By the amount of booing that usually occurred especially when he was riding for Eastbourne. Â Doubt if Lisa would make anything up, as for you that's a different story!. Reviresco
Polish fixtures now changed and all of Bjarnes is on a Sunday so no fixtures clashes. I'm sure he may get an offer or two after the first set of averages come out. Â As was pointed out earlier on this Thread, the majority of the fixture clashes were with Bjarne's Danish club Holsted, rather than his Polish club Pila, as Holsted ride on Fridays and Wednesdays. Yes, a number of previously arranged midweek Polish League 1 fixtures have now been moved to Sunday, but Pila are still scheduled to ride on Friday 5th August when Lakeside take on Belle Vue, and it looks as if Polish TV are now scheduling League 1 fixtures on a Friday night, which would lead to even more potential clashes with Lakeside fixtures. Sings4Speedway
Sad thing is that I think the below would have been a playoff team especially with either Pedersen, Bridger or the KenSon combo occupying one of the second string berths every match. It doesn't have the same feel with Nilsson in for me. Â Its also clear that Bjarne/Bridger were/are on similar deals that must be substantially more than Nilsson if costs were the issue (and assuming that Kim was the man to make way). Normally im all for being sensible with the spiralling costs but as its potentially the last year at Lakeside it would have been nice for the team to go out with a bang! E I Addio
I actually dont recall Tatum saying that about purse strings to be honest. It still doesnt change the facts that he would have wanted Bjarne and Bridger and cleared out another member of the team, regardless of purse strings. You can't do anything regardless of purse strings whatever business you are running, whether it is Speedwáy club or a corner shop. Once your outgoings exceed your income it is a recipe for going out if business, unless you have a sponsor with very deep pockets, it's as simple as that.  It's obvious that crowd levels took a big hit last season due to an inordinate number of guests who didn't perform. For example Lindgren, Roo-boy and Doyle only scored about 16 points in total between them in three meetings guesting at No 1,apart from being totally shafted on the fast track with having to get NL riders covering for the injured Ashley Birks . The fans won't take much more of that. The club clearly have to rebuild financially from a poor season. Stuart Douglas, to be fair, has been straight with the fans from Day One in saying he wants to balance the books as far as possible. Fair enough, we don't want the club to go the way of Peterborough and Eastbourne with thousands being poured in without results. That is the sort of shoestring that most Speedwáy clubs have to run on these days whatever league they are in, and I use the word shoestring in a relative sense because we are talking about the risk of losing tens of thousands of pounds not a few pence. Such is the precarious state of Speedwáy in the 21st century.
The Voice Of Reason
If I recall correctly, at the recent fans forum Jon Cook said the relationship with the stadium owners was good and they were confident that Lakeside would be there for a few years. This is the same Jon Cook then that gave Bjarne Pedersen a contract to ride for us in 2016; and said (just a few weeks ago) we'd have a squad system is it? Personally, I wouldn't trust the bloke with 50 Bob to go down the chip shop for me.  But there you go......people these days are dense enough to suck up to any old BS; particularly if it's what they want to hear.
LisaColette
By whom.. Â Really, i think your just making things up just to make yourself look good.. Oh really? I'll give you an example then, you often tell Gavan he isn't allowed to post on Poole threads as he isn't a Poole fan.

Being rather lazy, has Bjarne been reclassified? Is he now a B rider? Just asking because if he's still an A grader the fixture clashes wouldn't matter as Nicki would get priority. You're clearly not a fan of playing by the rules then. What I was inferring had nothing to do with rules - simply the fact that you can't count Alan. Or maybe you could enlighten us who Lakeside's 'squad of 10 riders' are............as alluded to in your earlier post. Â You were questioning the existence of a squad system, there is a squad system. 10 riders are allowed but not mandatory and, as you've been told before, the Lakeside website is surprisingly informative on the current Lakeside situation. Â Yes June, Bjarne is now classified as 'B' category in Denmark after 9 years as an 'A' grade Rider with Holstebro.
