Shale Searcher
Sure Bjarne is in the twilight of his career and past his prime. But one thing you do get with Bjarne is that he is 100% professional, and totally reliable. Don't throw what about Leicester, because it was clear he had major issues with the promotion and track. He was excellent for Poole and Eastbourne, and rides Lakeside well. Clearly it was a cost cutting move. No offence to Bridger but he will be cheaper, and no where near the points scoring power of Bjarne. A move that will take Lakeside to the battle of the spoon. If the right Mr Bridger turns up, then he surely (in my opinion) would outscore an ageing Bjarne Pedersen.....
mdmc82
Umm Bridger isn't the best signing imo. Very unreliable and his heart never seems to be in the sport

dj350z
I hope Lakeside have got some equipment lined up for Lewis or they may be looking for another rider pretty quickly!

Reviresco
Revolutuon Speedway!!!!! Yes, Bridger probably couldn't get much better backing than from the Revolution Speedway Pro Race Team. With both him and Lewi Kerr signed up as Revolution team riders for 2016, Lakeside have two very well sponsored and supported riders. Could be interesting in the Lakeside pits this season, with Revolution aligning with Jawa and Tatum's connection with Gerhard.

Ben91
Always thought Bridger would do better if he put substance over style, get out and score points rather than hanging off the bike trying to look good for the cameras. Rather have a bloke on an eight point average with no frills than a six pointer who rides around with one leg sticking out any day of the week. marko
I expected Lewis to break up into the team at some point but not from the word go, mixed feelings about it although from an entertainment point of view Bridger wins.

Got to be good for speedway, GM pretty much had the market covered, which would allow them to price as they liked.. But now with a couple of alternative and maybe competitive engines on the block, it just may force prices down as well as give riders more engine options! EnglishRoundabout
Who is Statman? My head is spinning!! Statman does the text updates at Somerset home matches Bridgers style puts bums on seats ,,however unreliable he maybe..I think its worth the gamble .If he does the business and i think he will ,,as probably in the last chance salloon... and knows it ! How many last chance saloons are there though? Didn't he have one of those at Eastbourne when he thumped a guy in a nightclub? Or did he not get one of those when he head butted a fan at Lakeside? Or maybe even when he opted out half way through a season at Lakeside? Or perhaps when he counted himself in for the new season at Coventry before opting out again?

I don't think Cookie would have gone into it lightly, so he must be confident that Bridger will perform. I think he's worth the chance as he's great to watch when he puts his heart into it. Anyway, if it doesn't come off, then there's Kennet or Lawson to take his place

Bjarne is 100% professional, agreed but he has not had a really good meeting at Lakeside for years, from memory only about one really big score there since he left Poole. Lewis was whacking in good scores all the time towards the end of 2014. Either one would be a gamble. In Bjarnes case it would be a gamble that he could turn the clock back to where he used to be, in LBR's case it's a gamble that he could turn the clock forward to where it should be. After seeing the way Lewis came from the back to beat Peter Kildemand in the last bend of his last race of 2014, in a move that Bjarne could never do in a million years, I would say he is the better option.....just ! As for the battle of the spoon I think you win that hands down Steve. The stirring spoon that is.
