Individual Manipulation Of Averages

Recommended Posts

Interesting topic and just another black hole in the world of Speedway and why guest bookings need to stop.

It has been brought to my attention a few times about riders who start off poorly drop a point or two and pick lots of other meetings elsewhere.

Not knocking anyone for trying to make a better living, but a few riders 2008 2011 stick in my mind of blokes who started badly and ended up with twice the PL fixtures....

There has also been the issue of riders doing it to get team places elsewhere, which I am certain is nothing new

I guess you just need to be careful who you sign

Have to agree, riders have to watch their average nowadays for Team places the following season .

Average manipulation has gone on for years, these rolling averages may not be perfect but at least they mean it takes longer to get your average down.

Didn't inconvenience Kevin Wolbert too much in his average quest in 2014

According to John Campbell we didn't speak to him the right way. Obviously telling him to f...ing get the finger out, was not what he liked hearing......Although we should've just told him to get out!

Edinburgh v Glasgow at the Dale a few years ago in June.

See this old chestnut rears its head as soon as someone even insinuates anything against the beloved Monarchs predictable tiresome but predictable.
