Open Season On Nicki

Recommended Posts

The Monster gang are beginning to look like playground bullies all ganging up on Nicki. Bullying is wrong no ifs or buts.

Two threads were started yesterday, this one and one about the leader of the Monster gang ;)

The Hancock thread has 12 posts at this time, Pedersen has 33. Maybe that's an indication of which rider will be missed the most when he retires!

Also interesting that a thread about Steve Shovlar has accumulated 80+ posts. Can a fan really be that much more interesting than Hancock & Nicki lol

Awww poor Nicki

Seems to be more than hard riding though. Nicki is no angel, and right gets called out for it. Team Monster are getting very nasty, intimidation of Nicki post races (which I am sure he can deal with) but throwing punches and intimidation from Team Monster seems to be acceptable to many, which is why they keep getting away with it.

There appears to be an inherent problem to my mind in Monster sponsoring the series as well as several riders. With this situation one suspects there is unlikely to be bad "BSI" press let alone disciplinary action against Monster riders. I appreciate the situation is unlikely to change as BSI need Monster:One just hopes the officials like the Beastie Boys, Fight for their Rights...

Yeah I've said this before. With a sponsor who sponsors both the championship and a few selected riders, there will be a conflict of interest for BSI/FIM/the sponsor regarding those riders.

Yes!! Those riders pull just as hard moves but because there all part of a pathetic clique they dont say anything to eachother

Oddly enough, I use this phrase to describe a certain group on here.

I must say I did feel a little bit sorry for Nicki-no-mates cutting a lonely figure on the rostrum, while Tai and Greg were having a good old chat. Still, they let him join in with the champagne spraying which was jolly decent of them. :D

FOR what it's worth, one rider currently in the SGP and not wearing the colours of the green Monster will be next year.

As for next year, would expect wildcards to be:

Jaroslaw Hampel
Andreas Johnsson
Peter Kildemand
Martin Vaculik (if declined) Lindback
CONFIRMED - the wildcards I stated above.

I think he's big enough to stand up for himself but you wouldn't think so by the amount of mechanics and hangers on that come to his aid

I'm sure he is, my point was bullying is bullying whoever is involved.

I fully agree that there are far too many people in the pits. Before and after racing is fine but during the meeting itself it should be confined to officials, riders, official medics and 3 mechanics/managers only. Sponsors, celebrities, hangers on should be banned.

Isn't what Nicki does on track bullying, hardly anyone tries to overtake him on the outside because they know the outcome,

Slight difference in that he is one person but the Monster/Aussie alliance makes it quite a few onto one. Also as you say his actions take place on the track when all riders are (nominally at least) under the protection of the referee, he's not known for bad mouthing others, unlike the Monster/Aussie alliance.

I'm not defending any of Nicki's past antics, I've condemned his actions on occasion BUT and it's quite a big but the officials in charge of meetings did not, in most cases, penalise Nicki for his actions, why not? After all they are supposed to be the people who decide what is and isn't against the rules.

I get very annoyed with people who cannot see past the personality. They will condem bullying etc but if it's Nicki P involved that's fine it becomes a laughing matter. As I said at the beginning of this debate bullying is bullying no matter who is involved.

thereis not much room left for anybody attempting on outside pass these days,as Harris proved at the week- end and he is not that type of rider but it is cut throat racing nowadays.

I don't think he is averse to bad mouthing anyone.

No i thought that was a bit harsh and out of character for Harris not to leave more room for Janowski to race but he was in front so it was really up to Janowski to sort himself out which is different to Nicki who never leaves any rider any room to race and when the boot is on the other foot he gets upset. Riders have passed him on the outside but you have to be very brave like Jonsson in the previous gp.

Well I've never seen him bad mouthing other riders on Twitter, unlike some. Mind you he blocked me some time ago when I said what I thought of one of his moves :P

No he wouldn't do it on twitter would he!
