Belle Vue 2016

Will it matter? They could probably leave half their team out and run Colts instead and still beat us at the moment!!!!

You're right, their Colts would finish races, meaning they'd inevitably beat Seb and Greg!

I just dont get how British Speedway is so rubbish at arranging fixtures that riders can attend?! Why is it so hard?!

Isn't this because Poland decided to rearrange some Sunday fixtures to Friday so they can be televised. I can't remember for sure now but wasn't the change made after our fixtures were announced.

Poland got in first as R&R says, we just seem to be usless at picking up on these things, GP qualifiers (yet avoid clashes with GPs where there are less likely yo be clashes!) and doubling up clashes!

Poland may have 'got in first' as far as announcing fixtures to the public are concerned - but EL clubs and riders new about potential clashes before that!!

If Belle Vue had started as planned missing Zagar on Friday wouldn't be a big deal- but to now open with your no 1 missing is bonkers !!

To open against Leicester is bonkers but that's the way it has worked out. In the circumstances I don't think the absence of Zagar will have much affect on the crowd level.

Could be our best chance of even competing with you though. No Zagar, you've not quite come to terms with the track yet and all or our riders have a point to prove now that their job is definitely on the line following comments after the meeting against Lakeside. I still think it'll be a Belle Vue win, but our reserves are flying.. and our Poles might actually pull their finger out

There will certainly be very little home track advantage and as a pairing your reserves should be stronger. However, I can't see your 1-5 doing well whether we have a guest for Zagar or use r/r. In their favour, jobs are on the line, the new track should suit your Polish riders and Hougaard is better on the bigger tracks.

I wasn't being disrespectful to Leicester, it's simply that one of the bigger teams in the EL were more likely to draw new fans and those who stopped going after Hyde Road closed. Teams like Poole, Coventry or Swindon

I hope Hougaard, a Belle Vue asset, has a good night but not too good.

Called in at the stadium earlier today loads of riders practicing including Zagar,Cook and the Worrall brothers.Richie told us the track was holding up very well and they were flying round it wasn't even wet at all even though we have had a few heavy showers.

The best drainage in speedway as been tested today and it passed with flying colours. Rained all night and morning but no puddles left on track and by the end of practice it was dusty. Couldn't believe how good the drainage was

Good to hear as weather in Manchester will definitely test it! ;) Most rainoffs will be cos it's raining during the meeting then.
