Phil The Ace Posted March 24, 2016 Report Share Posted March 24, 2016 Following the abandonment of Saturdays Peter Craven Memorial Trophy, Belle Vue Speedway have implemented the following measures with regards to refunding event night ticket holders. The club are offering one of the following three options:- Option 1 - Re-Staging: It is the intention of Belle Vue Speedway to look to re-stage the 2016 Peter Craven Memorial Trophy at a later date. Ticket(s) from March 19th will be valid for this re-staging provided fans retain them. We will issue more information on this in due course. If ticket holders cannot attend the re-arranged fixture or the fixture cannot be fulfilled then they may opt to pursue either Option 2 or Option 3, valid only for the 2016 season. Option 2 - Exchange: Ticket(s) from March 19th can be exchanged at the box office for any 2016 Belle Vue Speedway domestic league match ticket(s) of equal value, or used as credit towards a domestic league match ticket(s) of greater value. Please contact the office for more information. Option 3 - Refund: Ticket holders wishing to request refunds for the 2016 Peter Craven Memorial Trophy must return their ticket(s) or confirmation by post to the National Speedway Stadium, and a refund of the face value of the ticket(s) will be processed and issued as quickly as possible by our administration team. But it's okay when BV do it 👎I've experienced Matt Ford not giving refunds on the night, when the woman was counting the takings in front of my eyes, so don't go there! They just needed to iron a few stuff out. It does matter. Fans needed to be treated better. It was obvious that that should become a standard procedure reply for that kind of call off. That isn't having a go at Belle Vue, that should apply to ALL clubs. I really can't see the issue in releasing that statement within 24 hrs. Yes they where checking whats what as they were only obligated to allow the ticket be used for the re run or another meeting. They said bugger that we're offering refunds to those who want it! Fair play I say, I've been bitten on the arse by other so called promotions or worse still seen them blatantly get to the cut off point for refunds then chucking us out, though some of those were Sky/SCB lead. I was bloody livid, was the infamous hole in the track night grrr I've been offered refunds (well strictly speaking I asked and was given) at several away tracks. The most surprising, and I think Trees was with me, was at Belle Vue in the days of John Perrin, despite BV and Lynn fans telling me I had no chance. I guess it depends how and when you ask. He was a sweety pie and very polite, I got more hassle from the staff when I tried to get to the office He simply asked if I could wait around for a while so he could attend to riders/staff etc. which I was happy to do.
