SCB
It's a pity that at the AGM the promoters couldn't see beyond the end of their noses. J Doyle could be lost to the EL because of the low team average. LOW?! LOW?! It's so high that every fan in the country is including Doyle in their team to take up points! It's a good job some fans aren't on the BSPA committee
Wanderer
God I hope not - that looks very average to me. No number 1 & not sure on Richie Worrall - was v poor last year in PL so he'd have to step his game up big time in the EL. Hope to be stronger than that R Worrall very poor for who? I would give him a place any day always gives 100% and wouldn't you prefer someone who wants to ride for you I'm thinking him and his brother together in the same team can benefit Belle Vue. They are good together Edited November 8, 2015 by Wanderer

They are good together Very poor for his PL team last year Somerset. He averaged 6.8 in the PL compared to over 8 for our EL rsv Steve. So to give him a spot in the 1-5 would be a big risk IMO. I think he will be in the team however as his average is so low it means we can virtually keep the team from this year & slot him in. Let's hope we see the Richie from 3 yrs ago at Kings Lynn & yeah, maybe him & his bro riding together might spur each other on. Let's hope so
Red Panda
The points limit is too high! We are going to have teams way below the limit. Don't forget that reserves start with converted PL averages this year instead of no average................. That is why it is the figure it is................ SteveLyric2
If clubs can't build to the points limit, its their own fault - nobody elses.
LisaColette
If clubs can't build to the points limit, its their own fault - nobody elses. Not really their fault!! It's the amount of top riders giving Britain a miss that's causing it.
Bradford Ace
I don't see why clubs can't all get near the limit. There are barely any riders over 8 these days, think only NKI & Doyle last year. That means there is a plethora of 6 & 7 point men around the league. If ya think the combined averages for most rsv duo's will be 8 Points or so, that will leave 32.5 for 5 riders - average of this is 6.5 so bingo!! To me, it just means the days of the old Number 1's is over & 3 quarters of the teams for 2016 will have a team full of 6 & 7 point men, with a number 1 who is a 7 - 7.5 man. Means there will a lot of similar averaged riders in the league which should mean closer racing or am I just being optimistic??!!!?? Actually try and build 8 teams up to 40.5 using all the riders who ended last season, minus Zagar, Magic and Kildemand and replaced with 5 pointed from the PL or abroad. See how close you get. You'll fail. The limit should be nearer
Phil The Ace
Belle Vue will be right near the points limit. As will Poole. I can see the same 2 teams in the final next year with once again Poole running out winners

Have you considered that a few of the Promotions had already formulated their teams for next season before the AGM & the new limit just gives them enough scope to field the riders they want ........ possibly ... JUST UNDER THE NEW LIMIT !!! Edited November 8, 2015 by BANANAMAN

stevebrum
I don't see why clubs can't all get near the limit. I agree. The promoters work out the limits with the riders they know are likely to ride (and are probably mostly declared) and the averages they are all carrying so they have pretty much worked out what the limit needs to be.

acef
The league this summer has drastically weakened. When I saw the BV team PTA posted I initially thought no way. Then I looked again and I've been thinking about it for a few days, given the quality that we will have across the board it's actually a very good team. Coventry look doomed already. Looks like they can't afford certain riders and that is a crying shame.
