orion
Hello Eddie Shoestring - looks like your investigative skills are waning. We do not have any real facts/explanations yet. Wait for the true facts to emerge before you jump to conclusions. Suggest you change your name to (m) orion (ic) leaving out the first "i". The track was not fit to race on ....Dave Gordon has admitted that himself but allowed the fans to come into stadium ...if you can show me that is not true then let me know ... Woz01
Holes are nigh on impossible to reinstate on speedway tracks by just in-filling them. It's much more efficient and effective to "grind" them out and re-level a much larger area..if you fill it, it either comes straight out, or you're left with bump! (Wear around the hole) The fill material being left proud.. Which is what Coventry did after a hole appeared on the first bend. Poole have had plenty of time to do that but so far failed to do so.
OveFundinFan
So, will there be any racing at Poole speedway until that hole has been rectified for good. Or will there be different standards accepted by riders, fans, promotors, track curators. Its going to be an interesting season for UK speedway.
ouch
Belle Vue will not be riding on any track with holes or ruts. The machinery is out sorting our track so I suggest other tracks get sorting or let your fans know beforehand. That's the way it is from now on. The track was not fit to race on ....Dave Gordon has admitted that himself but allowed the fans to come into stadium ...if you can show me that is not true then let me know ... Dave Gordon let fans in then the track was found to be unraceable at best after the practise spins once everybody was in. Are you saying he let people in once he had made his announcement that the riders wouldn't ride?
PHILIPRISING
THE contractors have already dug up the whole of the third and fourth bends amid suggestions, as yet unexplained, that the base they laid there was of different materials to the rest of the track. It will be completely relaid rather than trying to just fill in the ruts as it were.
orion
So now you're saying Gordon knew the track wasn't fit BEFORE the meeting!! Do you know that for a fact or is it another fantasy you've just made up? After all you did accuse the riders of knowing before the meeting as well and only changed your story when you realised it implicated them in the charade of running a speedway meeting. Of course he did as has been said he was told on the Wednesday ...try to keep up ...also try to keep to one account rather posting under all your other user names . SteveLyric2
Which is what Coventry did after a hole appeared on the first bend. Poole have had plenty of time to do that but so far failed to do so. Poole haven't got a hole on the first bend - its been filled with bricks and covered over. Not sure where the bricks came from?!
orion
And the riders don't forget, they knew as well according to you, Mr itk. Do you have a link? Cheekee Raylee Monkee
Sounds to me like the contractors have accepted they messed up and are working hard to put it right. Either that or Gordon is paying the same builders even more money to put a bodged job right, you know like those stories you see on watchdog when some poor sod has been duped by a cowboy builder. It'll be interesting if the builders or the council, the people that actually employed them, make any public statements. It looks like the promotion is already on the contractors' case................ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkl5PvDnqZM Dramatis Personae - Basil Fawlty - David Gordon Manuel - Chris Morton The Major - Buster Chapman

Starman2006
MIGHT just point out that the hole in the Poole track, which seems to have been there forever, is apparently still there and riders aren't happy about it. The hole in the Poole track is not there. Facts Phil...

sparkafag
None so blind as those who will not see. It isn’t a hole though to be fair, it’s an intentionally placed rut that’s there to ensure Wimbourne is the bestest track in the whole wide world, Matt dug it himself don't you know.
