SUPERACE
The best drainage in speedway as been tested today and it passed with flying colours. Rained all night and morning but no puddles left on track and by the end of practice it was dusty. Couldn't believe how good the drainage was This is great news phil. So excited for Friday. AndyJ
Question: anyone know any specifics about the seating at the new stadium? From what I understand... https://www.facebook.com/bellevuespeedway/photos/pb.129552893785305.-2207520000.1459967283./1033335940073658/?type=3&theatre Red/white/black (section D) is closest to the starting gate @ £23 per ticket. Rest of grandstand (sections A-C from start to first corner. E-G from 4th bend to the line) @ £20 per ticket Standing @ £17 per ticket Via the BelleVueAces.co website I looked at pre-booking seats and was offered row H seats 61 and 62. Presumably H represents the 8th row (back third of the stand). Anyone know if this is correct and how the seat numbers align? Great to see the opportunity to book seats online but methinks the extra £1 per ticket admin fee should be absorbed in the ticket price and, ideally, trying to entice people to buy multiple tickets at discounted rates. Maybe one day......

If u do it via your mobile they will automatically choose a seat for you Edited April 6, 2016 by Phil The Ace

Aces51
Many thanks Phil. Can't believe I missed the "click here to choose your own seat from the plan" button! We all live and learn. I very rarely use my PC or laptop these days, usually my tablet or phone, so I didn't know that facility exists.

damosuzuki
the weather looks fine in Manc to me.... the sooner this is over with the better - belle vue must be terrified something happens again.
Alan_Jones
Looks to me like they're waiting for the kids to try it out at the BYC 2nd round. Kyle Bickley's already done some laps on a 500.
mdmc82
Manchester City Council and BV Arena Limited have confirmed the intention to carry out urgent repair works to a number of sections of the circuit so as to ensure that it is able to successfully host [top flight] speedway events at the new National Speedway Stadium. The decision follows investigations into defects in two sections of the track which came to light due to recent inclement weather and which, along with recent weather conditions, has rendered the track surface unsuitable for racing. Whilst it is disappointing to have to cancel further events, the priority of both the Council and Belle Vue is to ensure the safety of the riders and also the quality of the racing for spectators. They are however confident that the scheduled repair works will provide a permanent solution to the problems that have been experienced since the opening and that the track will be fully operational very soon. Updates on progress of the works and scheduling of race meetings to take place at the stadium will follow next week.
stevebrum
So its still the track. Proves they have tried to rush the one thing that is vital. about time for a bit of transparency in speedway, good on them for this information.
damosuzuki
Should they be repairing it bit by bit or should they have bit thebullet and relaid the whole thing properly?
SUPERACE
The issue is that belle vue couldn't do anything without isg and council say so as the track is not yet under belle vues control. I believe the aces had to hold off saying anything earlier until they resolved things with them.
