Forget the British team as Rosco won`t pick him in front of his pals......

Only one appearance in a GB bib and that when Muddledick picked him at KL.....though he did struggle and was then dropped for bridger and Ben Bonkers.

He has been imperious at PL level for 3-4 years, and lead Monarchs through a golden period......winning everything (max subbed in for the pairs title mind you) and so has nothing to prove at that level, it`s time to get the BV number 1 jacket and progress on the continent once the chance comes. Who knows how far he might go....it will be entertaining to watch.

he is the UK number 2 behind Woffy in my opinion but has been given scant opportunity to prove it on the international stage.

The Gb attitude to the European champs and pairs is a scandal when Cookie/Lambert should be blooded there, to help world cup preparation, but the blind mice don`t see the worth of these competitions.

hope he gets a chance in Poland /sweden and if he sinks or swims at least he will have tried to succeed.

he will always be welcome for the Scottish open mind you......along with the roo boy.

I think that Cookie has to make it that Rosco cannot ignore him, hopefully this coming season he will do just that.

I would say at the moment he is in the top 4 Brits along with Tai, Bomber and Lambert, so deserves his chance in the WTC.

Next year is massive for him, it will see how far he can really go.

But Rosco loves Danny King, Steady and Eddie Screwfix, so "reserve" probably no use for Cookie.............watching on Sky perhaps??

Anyway back on topic....

erik and max please....sam and sedgy if they can be persuaded to flat share again...with tegan to keep them in order!

the 3 pointer is not obvious at this point.....

i`d like to see richie W in a Monarchs race bib....we do have a good track record of nurturing Worrall`s on low/false averages.

However maybe Kev and a 5 pointer will be the way we go.

In John and Alec we trust.... they have pretty good form for team building.

No worries with last year's 5 at home for 2016 but we would need some consistency away. I would like Ritchie in team too but think he is destined elsewhere. Riss Junior?

We need to build a team round Erik and Max as they are the future.

I think we will go with

Sam 8.98 (hopefully) depends if his EL team change race night.

Kevin 8.18

Erik 5.22

max 3.39

New 5.00 pointer (preferably Hartel)

NL rider 3.00 (preferably Carr)

That leaves us 8.73 for our last rider. might be a bit top heavy but if Max and Erik progress again like they did this season they should provide good back up.

I think so and young German 17 years old i think, had some very good scores in germany over the last 2 years. German under 21 champ for the past 3 years.

What if we went with 3 Germans and they were all committed to these domestic meets in same weekend?

You get the fixture compiler to not arrange a meeting then.

Id be willing to bet he wont be a full time GP rider theres some far better riders out there especially on the continent. People seem to be really over reacting because he had a decent last month

At least give him credit for having the b***s and self belief to try. Sure it is a gamble but at least, if it does not work out, he won't spend the rest of his life wondering 'If only ...'. He has a long way to go to be regarded as GP standard but who would have thought that Zagar, Iversen, Kildermand, Batchelor Doyle etc.would make the grade, looking back to their early days in Britain. Too many riders 'step off the bus' when the going gets tough and settle for a comfortable life within their comfort zone.

Kildemand is the perfect example of a rider wanting to get to the top as quickly as possible, when I saw him with Workington I never though he would reach the level he is at now he was a "mental case" but fair play to him he took the big steps required before he became the run of the mill journeyman.

It appears cookie will never win whatever he decides, slammed for having no ambition last year for staying in the pl,and so moves on to broaden his horizons and now he's not good enough in many people's eyes, damned if he does and damned if he doesn't
